Asset readiness and maintenance
- Ensure all assets and equipment are powered, fueled, charged, and test ready when needed.
- Schedule and track preventative maintenance for assets and equipment.
- Coordinate repairs when equipment fails, either by troubleshooting directly or working with internal teams and external vendors.
- Own maintenance records and service schedules.
Systems engineering lab operations
- Ensure all lab equipment is functional, maintained, and available to support testing.
- Oversee calibration, upkeep, and basic troubleshooting of lab instruments.
- Identify failing or outdated equipment and drive repair, replacement, or upgrade plans.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient lab environment.
Process and documentation
- Create and maintain clear procedures for asset usage, checkout, maintenance, and lab operation.
- Establish repeatable workflows that reduce confusion and last minute scrambling.
- Maintain safety documentation, usage guidelines, and operational records.
Cross functional support
- Partner closely with systems, electrical, mechanical, and test engineers to support system level testing.
- Anticipate upcoming test needs and proactively prepare assets and lab resources.
- Act as the single point of accountability for lab and asset readiness.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Hands-on experience managing engineering labs, technical assets, or test environments.

- Practical knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting lab and test equipment.
- Experience scheduling and coordinating preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Comfortable working directly with physical equipment and systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow through.
- Ability to work independently, identify gaps, and build systems where none exist.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Preference given for experience in management of a UAS program in addition to the asset management, i.e. safety training, waiver maintenance, procedures, certifications, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Five or more years of experience in lab operations, asset management, or technical equipment ownership.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset for keeping assets organized, functional, and ready.
- Comfortable supporting both lab-based and field-based testing activities.
- Able to juggle multiple priorities while keeping systems reliable and predictable.
