The Opportunity:

Are you a self-motivated business development professional ready to skyrocket your career with a rapidly growing technology leader? TrueCar is seeking a dynamic Account Manager, Strategic Accounts to join our team and make a significant impact.

In this pivotal role reporting to the Director, Strategic Accounts, you'll be instrumental in empowering TrueCar dealer partners in our major metropolitan and high-profile markets. You'll develop and train them, helping them maximize their participation and success within our program. This isn't just an account management job; it's a chance to drive growth and forge strong partnerships alongside a passionate team.

This is a field-based position, and the ideal candidate will reside in Florida.

How you’ll drive TrueCar’s success:

  • Build and grow long-term, trusting relationships with a range of contacts within assigned dealerships (buyer/signer, implementer, stakeholder, etc.), including the highest level in each organization (e.g., General Manager)
  • Consult with customers to maintain an up-to-date understanding of their business needs, goals, and objectives
  • Articulate, communicate, and train on the full suite of TrueCar Services to your portfolio of dealers.
  • Interpret and deliver new rates on a monthly, quarterly, or bi-annual basis to their assigned market or dealer customers.
  • Interpret, consult, and deliver monthly TrueCar reporting and analytics to explain dealers’ performance, optimization issues, and best practices to the customer in the context of their business goals and market trends.
  • Train dealer staff to use core TrueCar services and affinity partner programs; engage district managers and other business unit specialists for advanced service training, as needed.
  • Compile and share relevant reports and documentation related to the dealers’ business and performance on the TrueCar platform.
  • Serve as a first point-of-contact for dealer issues; diagnose and resolve customer concerns
  • Minimize churn across assigned dealers.
  • Determine the frequency to meet with all assigned customers based on the developed dealer plan(s), each customer’s individual needs, as well as prioritization across all customers. Minimum visit requirement is once monthly for assigned dealers.
  • Escalate risks or roadblocks for a customer; work with District Managers, Dealer Support, and Leadership to resolve.
  • Provide accurate and complete documentation in Salesforce.
  • Consistently meet goals and objectives; foster high standards within the team.

Your Expertise:

  • A track record of proven success in sales and account management
  • Experience managing, meeting, and exceeding goals and objectives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to listen for understanding and influence outcomes
  • Ability to travel domestically 80% of the time by airplane or car for extended overnight trips weekly
  • Automotive industry experience is a plus
  • Advertising sales or training management experience is a plus

Base salary + incentive: $120,000 - $130,000
