Company Description
Swiftly is on a mission to help cities move more efficiently. We are the leading transit data platform for agencies to share real-time passenger information, manage day-to-day operations, and improve service performance. Today, over 200 transit agencies in 12 countries – including LA Metro, MARTA, SEPTA, and MBTA – rely on Swiftly to improve on-time performance by up to 40% and increase passenger information accuracy by up to 50%. The result is better service reliability, increased ridership, and more efficient transit operations.
Even though Swiftly's HQ office is located in San Francisco, CA, we are open to candidates in most locations across the U.S. as well as Ontario and British Columbia, Canada. At this time we are unable to provide Visa sponsorship.
People Team at Swiftly
The People Team at Swiftly partners with leaders across the company to find, retain, and engage the best talent possible, and ensures that teams have the skills, structures, systems, support, and (compliance/legal/ethical) stewardship to do their best work.
The Role
Swiftly is seeking a Recruiter to support our hiring efforts as we continue to grow. You’ll own full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles, partnering closely with hiring managers to build thoughtful, scalable, inclusive hiring processes that support Swiftly's growth.
This role is ideal for a recruiter with experience in a growing or evolving organization who is comfortable refining processes, navigating ambiguity, and helping to improve the hiring process over time. Recruiting will be the primary focus, with opportunities to support broader People & HR initiatives during slower hiring periods as part of a collaborative People team.
*We use AI tools for scheduling and summarization in our hiring process. We do not use AI tools to make decisions about who moves forward or to assess the strength of candidates. Every application is reviewed and all hiring decisions are made by Swiftly team members. This is an active, open role that we are currently hiring for at Swiftly.

What You'll Do

  • Recruiting & Hiring Partnership:
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for a range of roles, from intake through offer.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role needs, align on hiring strategy, and guide the interview process.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines through sourcing, referrals, and external partners.
  • Advise hiring managers on interview best practices, candidate assessment, and inclusive hiring.
  • Drive a strong, inclusive candidate experience aligned with Swiftly’s values.
  • External Recruiter Partnership:
  • Partner with and help manage relationships with external recruiting agencies.
  • Coordinate search strategy, set expectations, and ensure agencies align with Swiftly’s hiring goals and values.
  • Monitor agency performance, candidate quality, and overall process effectiveness.
  • Employer Brand & Community Engagement:
  • Support relationships with external talent communities and affinity groups.
  • Partner with People and Marketing teams to ensure the candidate experience reflects Swiftly’s values and culture.
  • Reporting, Tools & Process Improvement:
  • Maintain recruiting metrics and dashboards, including pipeline health and time-to-fill.
  • Support and spearhead ongoing improvements to recruiting tools, systems, and processes.
  • Contribute to documentation and consistency across hiring workflows, inside and out of Lever.
  • Broader People Team Support:
  • During slower recruiting periods, assist with People team initiatives such as onboarding support, HR operations, or process improvements.
  • Pitch in where needed to help the People team operate smoothly and scale effectively.

What will Set You Up for Success

  • 2 years minimum experience in full-cycle recruiting, ideally within a growing or evolving organization.
  • Proven Success in hiring for a range of positions, such as sales, marketing, software engineering, operations, and more.
  • Comfort working in an environment where processes are continually evolving and not everything is fully defined.
  • Strong inclination towards operational consistency, including hiring plans, documentation, and repeatable processes at scale.
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers and influencing outcomes without formal authority.
  • Exposure to working with external recruiting agencies.
  • Interest in inclusive hiring practices and building diverse teams.
  • Curiosity about the broader People & HR function beyond recruiting.
  • Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and clear communication.
  • International hiring experience, especially EMEA and Canada, is preferred but not required.
  • Experience using tools like Applicant Tracking Systems (preferably Lever) and Notion.
