We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the Shipping & Receiving Associate role at our food manufacturing facility in 90 Stemmers Lane, Westampton, NJ 08060. The primary responsibilities of this role are the basic functions of receiving and shipping, moving materials, supplies, and products both physically and systematically to maximize productivity and efficiency of the shipping and receiving department.

What will you be doing:

  • Execute tasks according to SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) for the production center as trained.
  • Execute proper storage and labeling of Organic, Conventional (Non-Organic), and Allergens
  • Ability to accurately use the Radio Frequency Identification (“RFID”) scanner to update inventory inputs and outputs.
  • Ability to receive and ship products in our NAV ERP system, to allow for the most accurate warehouse Inventory Management.
  • Ability to follow the First Expired First Out (“FEFO”) and First In First Out (“FIFO”) system.
  • Responsible for receiving, off-loading, sorting, storing and retrieving products accurately and efficiently as trained.
  • Responsible for participating in cycle counts or Month End Inventory if needed.
  • Responsible for examining/inspecting containers, materials and products to verify conformance to quality standards as trained.
  • Responsible for ensuring packing list/labels, lot numbers, expiration dates, and any other product identifiers match products received and/or shipped.
  • Responsible for sorting, building and wrapping pallets for secure and accurate shipments.
  • Responsible for completing all assigned monthly and ADHOC training

Qualifications

Who you are and why you're right for us:

  • At least 6 months experience in warehouse setting is preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English.
  • Experience with RFID scanner experience - preferred not required.
  • Experience with warehouse Inventory Management systems.
  • Experience utilizing or basic understanding of lot tags and expiration dates.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in priority and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a variety of shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and or in a group setting, with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (-9º-42º Fahrenheit) for 8 or more hours and in some instances, in a dark environment. This includes executing assigned tasks in the freezer as needed.
