We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the Shipping and Receiving Clerk role at our food manufacturing facility in 90 Stemmers Lane, Westampton, New Jersey 08060. The primary responsibilities of this role is work on a daily basis in the general warehouse operations including imports and exports to ensure that communication and work responsibilities are flowing amongst the team spending most of their time completing admin tasks.


What will you be doing:

  • Receiving, off-loading, sorting, storing and retrieving product which will require lifting boxes and palletizing for storage.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g. powered industrial trucks, pallet rider and TRT) to load and unload materials
  • Move goods packed on pallets or crates around the storage facility.
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
  • Checking loads are secure.
  • Stacking empty pallets.
  • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the forklift battery and lubricating equipment.
  • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards by following SOPs and report any damaged product to the supervisor immediately.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of safety and operation requirements for assigned machines.
  • Receiving incoming product to NAV System.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good math and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
  • High sense of injury prevention
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
  • Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license may be required
  • Forklift certification per OSHA standards
  • Ability to read and follow written and/or verbal instructions accurately in English
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and flexibility required
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (-9º-42º Fahrenheit) for 8 or more hours and in some instances, in a dark environment. This includes executing assigned tasks in the freezer as needed.
