About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team. This role will play a critical part in the monthly close process, analysis, internal financial reporting, and supporting a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, experience in a consumer product-based business, and is comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, planning, operations, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute key components of the monthly close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Ensure accurate accounting for inventory, cost of goods sold, accruals, and reserves
  • Assist with revenue recognition across subsidiaries and revenue streams
  • Support financial statement preparation in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting policies
  • Assist with audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Explain variances and support business insights
  • Support system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives within NetSuite and other IT systems
  • Assist with special projects, including integrations, system implementations, and M&A activity as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a CPG, manufacturing, or product-based environment
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with inventory accounting and COGS required
  • Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) preferred
  • CPA or CPA-eligible preferred but not required

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting automation tools
