Requirements

Must-haves

  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of WordPress experience
  • Experience with WordPress theme customization, child themes, WordPress ecosystem
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP
  • Experience with Figma and design-to-code workflows
  • Experience with website migrations from custom codebases to WordPress
  • Ability to reproduce design specifications with pixel-level precision
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues and optimize plugin performance
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and deliver within deadlines
  • Deep knowledge of on-page SEO, responsive design
  • Deep understanding of performance tuning and plugin management
  • Interest in web performance and structured front-end development
  • Availability to work 20 hours per week for a 6–12-month contract
  • Based in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru, Chile, and Mexico
  • Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

What you will work on

  • This is a part-time role (20 hours / week) for a 6–12-month contract
  • Build landing pages: Translate Figma designs into high-fidelity, fully functional WordPress pages
  • Oversee site architecture: Maintain back-end structure and ensure reliability and optimal performance
  • Update and manage plugins: Perform upgrades, resolve conflicts, monitor overall site health
  • Revise content and layouts: Modify structure and styling of existing pages to align with evolving business needs
  • Execute site migrations: Move content and layouts from custom repositories into WordPress without data loss
  • Enhance speed and SEO: Improve page load times, strengthen technical SEO, optimize Core Web Vitals (SEO, Core Web Vitals)
  • Ensure cross-device responsiveness: Deliver consistent user experience across desktop, tablet, mobile
