Requirements
Must-haves
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience with Rust, focusing on async runtimes (Tokio), concurrency, and memory-efficient
- Experience with Web3, Blockchain, and decentralized trading infrastructure
- Proficiency with low-latency systems (networking, API integration, and high-frequency execution patterns)
- Ability to work with arbitrage mechanics, including spread capture, race conditions, and cross-platform inefficiencies
- Deep knowledge of execution complexity in fast-moving environments with real-time pricing dynamics
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
Nice-to-haves
- Startup experience
- Experience with trading platforms, trading systems, and blockchain-based execution environments
- Deep understanding of prediction markets and DeFi infrastructure
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
What you will work on
- This is a part-time role (20 hours/week) for a 3-6-month contract
- Work directly with a partner to finalize and improve an automated platform that detects and captures pricing inefficiencies across multiple venues (Polymarket, Kalshi, etc.)
- Own the mechanical execution edge by ensuring spread detection and trade execution outperform competing systems
- Develop and optimize low-latency order book polling, cross-market price normalization, and deterministic opportunity discovery
- Build and maintain atomic execution workflows including slippage controls, partial fill handling, and capital lock-up management
- Implement infrastructure-level reliability through failure recovery mechanisms and capital allocation safeguards
- Handle high-speed market data ingestion and microstructure-level exploitation where latency is measured in milliseconds
- Support the lead architect in transitioning early prototypes into a fully automated, production-ready system
