Rental Staff – Cross-Country Skiing (Part-Time, Seasonal)

Charles River Recreation provides affordable, accessible outdoor fun in the Boston area - including cross-country skiing in the winter and paddling (kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding) in the warmer months. This position is part-time and depends on snow conditions. For those who enjoy the work, there's a strong possibility to continue into the spring and summer at our kayak rental locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations in the ski rental room.
• Help customers get fitted with skis, boots, and poles; clean and wax skis as needed.
• Ensure safe and smooth access to trails and outdoor areas.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service to all guests.
• (Optional) Lead beginner ski lessons or group activities-training provided for interested staff.
  
  

Requirements

• Enthusiasm for outdoor recreation in all seasons.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Cross-country skiing, paddling, or other outdoor recreation experience is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in winter conditions.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Multilingual skills are appreciated but not required.
  
  

Starting Pay: $15/hour, plus employee/industry discounts.
