About the role

As a Solutions Lead, you’ll own the hands-on deployment of Speakeasy within key accounts, unblocking high-touch engagements autonomously, and serving as an escalation point for our broader pre-sales and post-sales engineering team.

About you

  • Significant back-end / API engineering experience. You’re excited to dive deep into the technical details of our customers’ APIs and SDKs, and can lead in-depth technical deployments/implementations with customers and partners

  • Previously worked as a founding engineer, solutions engineer, or technical founder

  • Demonstrate exemplary customer empathy: be able to pragmatically connect customers’ goals with Speakeasy

  • Demonstrate high ownership/autonomy. You can rapidly learn what you don’t already know, and you can naturally identify where to have high impact/leverage. You can drive successful outcomes with customers

  • Manage multiple customer relationships and potentially competing priorities elegantly

  • Use your customer learnings to influence the product roadmap and docs, to ensure constant improvement in the customer experience

Note that we are looking for San Francisco Bay Area candidates only (or those willing to relocate). Ideal candidates are excited to work in the office alongside the rest of the team 3-4 days per week.

What should you know about us?

  • Our team is split across PST and GMT timezones. This has its advantages and disadvantages. We follow async processes pretty well but it's not perfect. You’ll help us get there

  • We're a small team of ~30. We are collaborative and supportive of each other, but believe in high ownership and autonomy

  • We are ambitious, passionate about what we do, and seek to be exceptional. If you are looking for a place to clock in and out or to simply punch a ticket, we are likely not a good fit for you

  • We serve tens of thousands of users, with customers from startups to large enterprises
