Our data enables media companies to connect with audiences for new shows and movies, and enables advertisers to engage viewers and measure reach across all their devices. Reporting to the VP, Data Science, as the Data Science Manager in our Warsaw office, you will lead a team of data scientists developing models and analyses that power Samba TV’s core products. You’ll translate business challenges into technical roadmaps, oversee end-to-end delivery of audience insights and cultivate a high-performance culture grounded in experimentation, collaboration and continuous learning. You will provide thought leadership and help guide the transformation of how advertisers measure, attribute, and optimize TV campaigns across linear and streaming platforms.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of 6–8 data scientists, driving hiring, performance reviews and career development
  • Be responsible for the team’s technology and research roadmap for TV and streaming viewership measurement, panel weighting and audience segmentation
  • Collaborate with engineering to productionize scalable data pipelines (Spark, Airflow, Databricks, BigQuery, etc.) and ensure reproducibility, monitoring and data quality
  • Work with other data science teams and leaders to champion best practices — code reviews, modular architectures, documentation—and foster an environment of knowledge-sharing
  • Present findings, strategic recommendations and opportunities to senior leadership and key external stakeholders
  • Be an empowering team leader that fosters a culture of global excellence, collaboration, learning and growth
  • Partner with global product, sales and analytics teams to ensure data science deliverables are on track and addressing the client needs
  • Contribute hands-on as needed in model development (predictive, causal, hierarchical) for panel calibration, reach/frequency curves, attribution and propensity scoring

WHO YOU ARE

  • Master’s or advanced degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or related quantitative field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on data science experience, including 2+ years in a people-management or team-lead role
  • Have demonstrated leadership in managing data science teams and end-to-end data science projects
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL and familiarity with Spark or other distributed compute frameworks
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Databricks, GCP, AWS) and MLOps tools (Docker, Airflow, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Are detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution in a fast-paced environment working in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Expertise in causal inference methodologies (synthetic control, uplift modeling, A/B testing) and Bayesian statistics a plus
  • Background in multi-touch attribution across linear and CTV/OTT channels a plus
  • Bonus: Strong knowledge or experience working with TV viewership data sources (ACR and STB data, web stream data and panel weighting techniques, census-level) and measurement vendors (Samba TV, Nielsen, Comscore, etc.)
