Samba TV is seeking a highly strategic and experienced Director of Product Management to lead the evolution of our Outcomes measurement solutions into a comprehensive, global suite of capabilities. This role is critical to Samba's Activation Go-To-Market (GTM) vision, which aims to transform the company from a transactional media activation entity into a strategic partner for brands and agencies deeply involved across the entire campaign lifecycle: Plan, Activate, and Measure (PAM).
As Director of Outcomes, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy that positions Samba's Outcomes Measurement Platform, as a core enabler and driver of growth for the Activation business. You will work to integrate Outcomes seamlessly with Audience and Planning within the PAM framework. This role requires a deep understanding of the measurement landscape, the needs of various customer types including media buyers, publisher resale partners, and agency customers, and the ability to drive product innovation in a complex, data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Define and champion the near-term and long-term product strategy and vision for Samba's global Outcomes Measurement Platform. Ensure alignment with the overall Activation GTM and PAM framework.
  • Roadmap Development & Execution: Own and prioritize the Outcomes product roadmap, including key initiatives such as the Extensible Outcomes Platform, clean room solutions, 'light' or bundled offerings, streaming TV measurement integration, international capabilities, and automation efforts. Drive execution in collaboration with Engineering, Data Science, and other teams.
  • Outcome-Led Activation (MLA): Lead the product development necessary to enable Measurement-Led Activation (MLA), allowing clients to define desired outcomes and use Samba's capabilities to create and optimize audiences that deliver those results. This involves moving beyond post-campaign reporting to enabling "Measurement as in-campaign optimizations".
  • Cost Per Outcome (CPO) Solutions: Explore, define, and build capabilities to support Cost Per Outcome (CPO) and guaranteed reach solutions, leveraging self-optimizing segments and integrating activation and measurement.
  • Customer & Use Case Expansion: Develop Outcomes products that support a range of customer types, including direct brands, agencies, DSPs/SSPs, publisher resale partners, and potential white-labeled agency customers. Identify and prioritize key vertical and cross-vertical use cases for Outcomes.
  • Data Integration & Methodology: Collaborate closely with Data Science and Engineering to ensure seamless integration of diverse data sets (viewership, contextual, web, first-party data in clean rooms) to power robust Outcomes measurement. Support initiatives to unify Audience and Measurement methodologies.
  • Clean Room & First-Party Data: Leverage Samba's clean room integrations to enable clients to use their first-party conversion data for outcome measurement, including "Bring Your Own Outcome" solutions.
  • Market Positioning & Enablement: Work with Product Marketing and Sales Enablement to simplify the product offering and messaging around Outcomes. Empower the sales team with clear value propositions, training, and potentially visualization tools for demonstrating Outcomes capabilities.
  • International Expansion: Support the globalization of Outcomes offerings, addressing country-specific data requirements and GTM strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in product management within the ad tech or digital measurement industry.
  • Experience developing and launching measurement or analytics products, particularly those related to campaign outcomes, conversions, or business results.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, agencies, and brands.
  • Familiarity with various measurement methodologies.
  • Experience working with large datasets and collaborating with Data Science and Engineering teams.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise product strategies and market messaging.
  • Experience working with global teams and understanding different market needs (e.g., US vs. UK/EU).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Clean Room technologies.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in measurement or audience optimization.
  • Experience with white-labeling or gray-labeling platform solutions for agencies.
