Account Executive — Los Angeles (New Market Launch)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (In-Market Required)

Role Snapshot

  • Market: Los Angeles (new / early-stage)
  • Function: Full-cycle sales + market launch
  • Reporting to: Head of Business Development
  • Requirement: Remote but must be based in Los Angeles and able to visit properties

Company Description

Rove is a rapidly growing luxury rental marketplace and property-management platform, creating a new standard of trust, quality, and operational ease for owners and guests.
Headquartered in New York, Rove operates high-end furnished homes across NYC, the Hamptons, Aspen, Florida, and select top U.S. markets. We are venture-backed and led by operators from Y Combinator, SpaceX, Snap, June Homes, AvantStay, Kasa, Sonder, and more.

The Role

As Account Executive — Los Angeles, you will own the end-to-end process of launching and scaling Rove’s supply in the LA market.
You will source deals, run discovery, negotiate with owners and brokers, conduct property visits, and close signed agreements. You will also help define what success looks like in LA—pricing norms, property criteria, broker channels, and repeatable outreach strategies.
This role combines AE execution with new-market builder responsibility. If you need playbooks handed to you, this will feel uncomfortable.

Responsibilities

1. Full-Cycle Sales Ownership

  • Source and qualify owners and brokers through outbound and inbound channels.
  • Run high-quality discovery calls focused on owner goals, economics, and constraints.
  • Conduct in-person property walkthroughs and meetings across Los Angeles.
  • Own negotiations and move deals from first touch through signed agreement.
  • Maintain a clean, accurate pipeline in HubSpot with clear next steps.

2. New Market Launch & Growth

  • Establish Rove’s presence with brokers, owners, and local partners in LA.
  • Identify the submarkets, property profiles, and owner personas that convert best.
  • Pressure-test pricing assumptions and underwriting inputs with real market data.
  • Rapidly iterate messaging, outreach, and qualification criteria based on results.
  • Help define the repeatable acquisition playbook for LA.

3. Internal Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as the on-the-ground owner of the LA market internally.
  • Partner closely with pricing, underwriting, operations, and launch teams.
  • Surface blockers early (regulatory, building rules, owner objections).
  • Provide structured feedback that improves speed, conversion, and launch outcomes.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years experience in sales, real estate, hospitality, or high-ownership client roles
  • Proven ability to close complex, consultative deals
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and building from zero
  • Strong in-person presence and executive-level communication
  • Highly organized; you don’t rely on others to push deals forward
  • Urgent, accountable, and outcome-oriented
  • Coachable, but not dependent on hand-holding
  • Fluent in CRM usage (HubSpot strongly preferred)
Hard truth: This role rewards people who create momentum, not people who wait for it.

Bonus Points

  • Experience launching or scaling a new market
  • Background in luxury real estate, short-term rentals, or hotels
  • Deep familiarity with Los Angeles neighborhoods and submarkets
  • Startup experience with minimal structure
  • Comfort with tools like HubSpot, Slack, OpenPhone, Google Workspace, Guesty

Tradeoffs (Explicit)

  • Cost: Less structure, more pressure, more personal accountability
  • Upside: Early ownership of a major market, faster career leverage, and real influence over how LA is built
If you want next:
  • A 90-day LA launch plan (targets, KPIs, supply goals)
  • A comp plan aligned to new-market risk
  • A promotion path from LA AE → Regional Lead
