🌟 About Rove

Rove is a next-generation hospitality brand elevating the short-term rental experience for both guests and homeowners. We operate a portfolio of luxury homes across iconic U.S. destinations like NYC, the Hamptons, South Florida, and Aspen. We combine high-touch service with smart technology to ensure a seamless and memorable stay in every home.
We're backed by leading investors and are growing fast — building a world-class team obsessed with quality, consistency, and hospitality at scale.

🛠 About the Role

As the Property Operations Manager – Hamptons, you’ll serve as Rove’s on-the-ground presence across our portfolio of luxury homes in the region. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our properties meet the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and readiness for guest stays — especially during our peak summer season.
This is a seasonal, part-time contractor role. Expect full-time hours during the summer, and part-time, on-call work during the rest of the year — roughly 5–20 hours per week based on project needs (e.g., onboarding new homes, performing audits, preparing homes for winter, etc.).
We’re looking for someone proactive, hands-on, and hospitality-driven — ideally with prior short-term rental experience and local knowledge of the Hamptons.

🔧 Responsibilities

☀️ Summer Season (Full-Time)

  • 🧽 Complete quality control checks before and after guest stays to ensure home readiness and check for property damage
  • 🛠 Coordinate with and supervise vendors (cleaners, maintenance, landscapers, etc.)
  • 🚪 Troubleshoot issues in real time (smart locks, smart hubs, heated pools/spas, HVAC, appliances, etc.)
  • 📦 Restock supplies, maintain inventories, and ensure homes meet Rove’s luxury standards
  • 📲 Respond to on-the-ground guest and homeowner needs — often on short notice
  • 🔍 Conduct home audits and onboarding on an ad-hoc basis
  • 📝 Maintain accurate records in Breezeway, Notion, Slack, and other tools

❄️ Off-Season (Part-Time / On-Call)

  • 🏠 Onboard and set up new homes (furniture assembly, staging, smart locks, etc.)
  • 🕵️‍♂️ Conduct audits of prospective properties to identify brand fit for Launch team
  • ❄️ Winterize properties and assist with seasonal prep (cover outdoor furniture, shut off water, etc.)
  • 📋 Support special projects (deep cleans, vendor transitions, preventive maintenance)

👤 Who You Are

  • 🚗 Based in or near the Hamptons — within ~30 minutes drive
  • 🏨 2+ years experience in hospitality, STR, or property operations (luxury preferred)
  • 💪 Hands-on, resourceful, and calm under pressure
  • 🤝 Comfortable working independently and coordinating with remote teams
  • 🧰 Handy with tools and minor repairs; familiar with smart home tech
  • 💻 Tech-savvy — confident using Breezeway, Slack, Notion, Google Sheets
  • 📦 Able to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate properties independently

💸 Compensation & Hours

  • 🧾 Contractor (1099) role
  • 📆 Full-time (~40 hrs/week) from late May–early September
  • Part-time/on-call (~5–20 hrs/week) during the off-season (October–April)
  • 💵 $35/hr including travel time and a minimum pay of $1000/month in offseason
  • 🕐 Flexible schedule, particularly in the offseason — must be available for some last-minute needs
