The Senior AR Account Manager is responsible for leading more complex and high-value accounts, serving as an escalation point for AR Account Managers, and driving improvements across AR processes. This role provides subject matter expertise, mentors junior team members and partners cross-functionally to resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage strategic or high-risk customer accounts, ensuring accuracy, timely collections, and proactive resolution of disputes.
  • Act as an escalation point for AR Account Managers when accounts require complex reconciliation or negotiation.
  • Mentor and guide junior AR team members, sharing best practices and providing informal training support.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and IT to drive process improvements and implement changes that enhance collections efficiency.
  • Review aging reports and identify patterns or risks, recommending corrective actions to AR Manager.
  • Support the AR Manager in preparing management reports, audits, or system enhancements.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects (e.g., systems upgrades, policy changes) as the AR subject matter expert.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies across AR processes.

Skills:

  • Strong ability to manage complex customer relationships and negotiations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to represent the AR team with senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in mentoring, coaching, and developing peers without formal management authority.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to interpret data, spot trends, and propose solutions.

Knowledge:

  • Advanced NetSuite knowledge, particularly with reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end AR processes, from billing to collections to dispute resolution.
  • Familiarity with credit risk management and compliance practices.

  • Ability to balance operational detail with strategic improvement.
  • Recognized as a go-to expert within the team for difficult or unusual AR issues.
