Role: Design and prototype optical and electronic tools; Develop methods to automate data collection; Follow and continuously improve quality assurance practices; Operate test equipment (Spectrometer, multimeter, photodiodes, cameras, etc.); Operate suite of prototyping tools (CNC, 3D printers, laser cutter, etc.); Contribute to cross-discipline planning meetings; Potential for management track.Desired experience: 2+ years experience working with optical components; 2+ years 3D design/CAD experience (i.e. Fusion360, Inventor, Solidworks); Experience designing and prototyping basic electronic projects; Exposure to optical imaging technologies (photography, fluorescence, lifetime, etc.); Exposure to quality management systems or ISO manufacturing environments; 3D printing experience; Ability to work safely with tools commonly found in a maker-space; Knowledge of software scripting concepts or open source projects; BS in Engineering or related subject; MS/PhD or 2+ years industry experience preferred.Hours: Full-time, benefits eligible.Location: White River Junction, Vermont.Interested?
