Role:- Design and prototype optical and electronic tools- Develop methods to automate data collection- Follow and continuously improve quality assurance practices- Operate test equipment (Spectrometer, multimeter, photodiodes, cameras, etc.)- Operate suite of prototyping tools (CNC, 3D printers, laser cutter, etc.)- Contribute to cross-discipline planning meetings- Potential for management trackDesired experience:- 2+ years experience working with optical components- 2+ years 3D design/CAD experience (e.g., Fusion360, Inventor, Solidworks)- Experience designing and prototyping basic electronic projects- Exposure to optical imaging technologies (photography, fluorescence, lifetime, etc.)- Exposure to quality management systems or ISO manufacturing environments- 3D printing experience- Ability to work safely with tools commonly found in a maker-space- Knowledge of software scripting concepts or open source projects- BS in Engineering or related subject; MS/PhD or 2+ years industry experience preferredHours: Full-time, benefits eligibleLocation: White River Junction, VermontInterested?
