GTM, Defense Intern
Full-time
Orlando, FL, USA
Company Description
Pheratech Systems builds decentralized swarm intelligence for autonomous systems operating in complex, low-connectivity environments. The company focuses on edge-based autonomy, where each unit processes its own sensor data, plans locally, and communicates over a resilient mesh network without a central controller or single point of failure. Its autonomy stack delivers real-time decision-making, dynamic tasking, and cooperative behaviors across drones, ground vehicles, and maritime platforms, supporting missions such as perimeter security, infrastructure inspection, ISR, and convoy support. Pheratech is venture-backed and advised by senior leaders from defense, homeland security, and national labs, and is actively deploying systems while expanding into commercial and dual-use markets. The team is growing across autonomy, systems, and operations, offering opportunities to contribute to next-generation defense technologies.
Role Description
The GTM, Defense Intern role is a full-time remote position focused on supporting go-to-market activities for defense and national security customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching defense programs and market segments, mapping stakeholder ecosystems, and supporting customer discovery and outreach. The intern will help create GTM materials such as briefs, pitch decks, messaging frameworks, and competitive analyses tailored to defense use cases. The role also involves coordinating with product and engineering teams to translate technical capabilities into clear value propositions, assisting in proposal and RFI responses, and tracking pipeline activities and customer feedback. The intern will collaborate across teams to refine positioning, identify opportunities in defense and dual-use markets, and contribute to scalable processes for future GTM initiatives.
