Pheratech enables robots to reason about each other. We build autonomy systems that allow teams of robots to coordinate, make decisions, and operate together in complex environments.

We’re looking for an Operations Associate to work directly with the founders and help build the company from the ground up.

This is an early-career role for someone who is ambitious, hardworking, and wants to take on a lot of responsibility quickly. You’ll get exposure to nearly every part of building a robotics company, from operations and finance to customers, government programs, and field tests.

We don’t expect you to know how to do everything on day one. We expect you to learn fast, work hard, take ownership, and figure things out.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work on whatever is most important to the company. That might mean:

• Keeping company operations organized and moving.
• Helping with purchasing, vendors, logistics, and field operations.
• Supporting finance, budgeting, expenses, and financial tracking.
• Helping with customers, government programs, proposals, and company projects.
• Researching unfamiliar problems and quickly figuring out what we should do.
• Taking things off the founders’ plates and owning them through completion.

Some days you’ll be working through numbers in a spreadsheet. Other days you might be preparing for a field test, coordinating a critical shipment, helping with a customer demonstration, or solving a problem nobody anticipated.

You won’t have a narrow lane. You’ll be expected to learn quickly, jump into problems, and make things happen.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone early in their career who is hungry to learn, willing to work hard, and excited by the opportunity to prove themselves. You probably have 0–3 years of professional experience, and new graduates are encouraged to apply. More importantly, you:

• Have an exceptional work ethic.
• Learn extremely quickly.
• Take ownership without needing to be chased.
• Are organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Are comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets.
• Communicate clearly.
• Don’t think necessary work is beneath you.
• Can figure things out when there isn’t an instruction manual.

• Hold yourself to a high standard.

We care much more about trajectory, drive, judgment, and ability than how impressive your résumé looks.

You become someone the company can depend on. When something important needs to happen, we can hand it to you and trust that you’ll figure out what needs to be done and drive it through completion. As you prove yourself, you’ll get harder problems, more ownership, and more responsibility. We want someone who can grow with the company, and there isn’t a predetermined ceiling on what this role can become.

Here, you’ll be in the middle of them from the beginning. You’ll see how engineering, finance, customers, government, operations, and company-building actually fit together, and you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on all of them. This probably isn’t the right job if you’re looking for a predictable 9-to-5, a narrowly defined set of responsibilities, or a highly structured corporate environment.
