ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a highly organized and creatively driven Trade Marketing Associate to support the execution of trade-facing programs across multiple states. This role will work closely with Sales and Creative to develop and deliver best-in-class trade marketing assets that drive visibility and sell-through at retail locations nationwide.
The ideal candidate brings strong graphic design experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about executing high-quality trade marketing initiatives. Cannabis experience is preferred but not required.
As the Trade Marketing Associate, you will:
Trade Marketing Execution & Support
- Assist in executing trade marketing programs, product launches, promotions, and retailer initiatives across CA, CO, MA, NY, and additional markets.
- Support the development of promotional graphics, retail sell-in decks, and in-store activation materials to build out in store presence in retailers.
- Manage timelines, asset delivery, and internal coordination for state-specific needs.
Graphic Design & Creative Production
- Design trade-facing assets, including POS materials, print collateral, retailer promo graphics, social/digital banners, sell sheets, and educational materials.
- Prepare production-ready files and manage versioning for multiple markets with varying compliance needs.
- Ensure all assets are brand-accurate, visually cohesive, and compliant with state regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work directly with Sales teams to understand account needs and deliver timely, high-quality assets.
- Partner with the Creative and Legal team on project briefs, feedback, quality control and approvals.
- Coordinate on POS inventory, shipping, and activation logistics.
Project & Asset Management
- Maintain KPI trackers, shared folders, and documentation for all trade marketing initiatives, ensuring assets are organized and accessible.
- Manage incoming creative requests, assist with prioritization, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Support reporting efforts through retailer recaps, activation summaries, and sell-through documentation.
Activation & Event Support
- Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of retail activations, pop-ups, trade shows, and vendor days.
- Help organize swag, POS kits, and onsite materials as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3+ years of experience in trade marketing, brand marketing or retail marketing.
- Advanced graphic design proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). ASANA experience is a plus.
- Experience creating promotional graphics and preparing files for print production and distribution.
- Highly organized with exceptional project management and attention to detail.
- Collaborative, communicative, and comfortable working cross-functionally with the Sales and Creative team.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred (retail, CPG, or regulated consumer goods experience also beneficial).

COMPENSATION
In addition to the benefits above, the salary for this role is $70,000-$90,000 + equity. This represents what we believe, in good faith, this role will pay. The final pay will depend on many factors, including years and depth of experience, level, and location of the employee.
