Job Description:

Key Responsibilities :

  • Own sourcing for electrical and electromechanical commodities, including:
    • Switchgear (MCB, MCCB, contactors, relays, breakers)
    • Instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow sensors; CT/PT; IO modules)
    • Electromechanical components (connectors, terminals, cable assemblies, magnetics, fans)
  • Lead RFQs, supplier negotiations, and commercial alignment.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives through should-costing, VA/VE, and alternate sourcing.
  • Manage supplier qualification, performance, and ongoing execution.
  • Support NPI, ECNs, and certification builds (UL / CE / IEC).
  • Ensure material availability and resolve supply or quality escalations.

Education & Experience required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8–10 years of experience in direct materials sourcing or commodity management.
  • Strong experience in sourcing of switchgear, instrumentation, and electromechanical components is preferred.
  • Experience working with EMS / contract manufacturers is desired.
  • Strong negotiation and cross-functional coordination skills is required.
  • Experience in power electronics, energy, industrial equipment, or automation. industry is desired.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Exposure to scale-up or high-growth manufacturing environments.
This role will be responsible for execution of sourcing and supplier execution for electrical and electromechanical commodities used in power-electronics and industrial systems. This role works closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and EMS partners to support NPI, cost reduction, and production scale-up activities.
