Company Description Neurophos is pioneering AI inference chips that deliver performance and energy efficiency far beyond state-of-the-art GPUs, using an Optical Processing Unit based on a metasurface compute architecture. This architecture relies on tunable optical elements that are dramatically smaller than conventional photonic approaches, enabling higher compute density, faster speeds, and lower power consumption. The company focuses on solving core AI infrastructure challenges by increasing compute capacity per chip, wafer, and megawatt to support hyperscale inference at scale. Neurophos has strong commercial traction, including a significantly oversubscribed $110M Series A led by Microsoft and active engagement with leading hyperscalers. The team collaborates with top foundries and technology partners and continues to grow rapidly, attracting experienced talent from major semiconductor and photonics companies.
