Accounting & Finance

In pursuit of this objective, we acquire and improve digital businesses, not to sell on, but to own and operate for the long term. The transformations we make are often deep—designed to speed up innovation, benefit customers, and strengthen business performance. Here, hierarchy is minimal and teams are small and talent-dense. We operate established products with the ambition, agility, and urgency of a startup. Across the company, we integrate AI deeply into how we work so that human judgment and machine intelligence reinforce each other.
For a talented, driven, and collaborative individual, working at Bending Spoons is an opportunity to learn, make an impact, and progress their career at an exceptionally high rate. That’s our promise to such a candidate.
This position can be performed only from the US.
A few examples of your responsibilities
- Co-lead our financial strategy. Partner closely with the rest of the leadership team to shape long-term planning, capital allocation, investment decisions, and other major strategic choices with significant implications.
- Own financial planning and performance. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management.
- Oversee reporting, controls, and compliance. Ensure high-quality financial reporting, robust internal controls, US GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and appropriate governance across the organization.
- Manage liquidity and capital. Oversee treasury, cash management, financing strategy, banking relationships, and the company’s approach to debt and equity capital.
- Strengthen the economics of the business. Work closely with operating teams to improve profitability, resource allocation, cost discipline, and returns on investment.
- Build an exceptional finance organization. Develop the team, systems, and processes needed to support a large, fast-growing, increasingly complex business in the United States and beyond.
What we look for
- Reasoning ability. Given the necessary knowledge, you can solve complex problems. You think from first principles, and structure your ideas sharply. You resist the influence of biases. You identify and take care of the details that matter.
- Outstanding relevant experience. You have a strong technical foundation in accounting, finance, and tax, and are comfortable building financial models, preparing financial statements, and developing forecasts and budgets in complex environments.
- Drive. You’re extremely ambitious in everything you do—and your initiative, effort, and tenacity match the intensity of your ambition. You feel deeply responsible for your work. You hold yourself to a high—and rising—bar.
- Team spirit. You give generously and without the expectation of receiving in return. You support the best idea, not your idea. You're always happy to get your hands dirty to help your team. You’re reliable, honest, and transparent.
What we offer
- Incredibly talented, entrepreneurial teams. You’ll work in small, result-oriented, autonomous teams alongside some of the brightest people in your field.
- An exceptional opportunity for impact. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of a company with sky-high ambitions—and the track record to match.
- Lead the US expansion of one of Europe’s most successful tech companies. Bending Spoons has earned a strong reputation for its strategy, expertise, culture, and talent. As a leader, you’ll help guide a company valued at several billion toward even greater success.
- Competitive pay and access to equity in the company. Compensation includes access to Bending Spoons equity at a discount and is tailored to each candidate based on experience, leadership track record, location, and expected impact.
