Responsibilities
MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Business Operations and Pricing Manager to join our Analog and Mixed-Signal business team. This role is the key business partner to Product Line Management, Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Manufacturing Operations to drive data-based business decisions, demand planning, pricing execution, revenue growth, and operational excellence. In this role, you will focus on the following:
- Lead the business unit’s quarterly demand forecasting process, including consolidation of regional inputs, opportunity assumptions, inventory position, and product line priorities
- Provide raw material and product demand forecasts in coordination with Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Planning teams
- Support Product Line Managers and Marketing Managers with business analysis, pricing models, opportunity tracking, revenue forecasts, and management reporting
- Manage sample request reviews, special pricing requests, and price quote escalations to support customer engagements while maintaining business discipline
- Partner with regional sales teams to identify new revenue opportunities, channel programs, and customer growth initiatives
- Apply strong knowledge of semiconductor sales and distribution models, including MPP, POP, POSC, forecast consumption, channel inventory, and point-of-sale trends
- Evaluate channel inventory, internal available-to-ship supply, and customer demand signals to recommend actions that accelerate regional revenue growth
- Develop and recommend product pricing actions to regional sales teams to support quarterly revenue targets, gross margin objectives, and competitive positioning
- Align with Sales Operations on ship schedules, backlog coverage, revenue pacing, allocation priorities, and gross margin impact
- Prepare weekly business performance reports covering bookings, billings, backlog, revenue outlook, quote activity, opportunity funnel, channel inventory, and key customer actions
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and trend analysis to identify risks, opportunities, pricing actions, and operational improvements
- Maintain routine tracking of top customer opportunities in partnership with the sales organization, including next steps, owners, timing, and revenue impact
- Coordinate quarterly opportunity funnel reviews with regional sales teams and provide actionable insights to business unit leadership
- Support creation, maintenance, and governance of product column pricing; conduct competitive pricing analysis and recommend adjustments as needed
- Build scalable dashboards, operating rhythms, and decision frameworks that improve forecast accuracy, pricing responsiveness, and cross-functional execution
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, or related + 10 years of experience, or Master’s + 8 years of experience
- Semiconductor industry experience required
- Demonstrated experience in business operations, sales operations, pricing, demand planning, product marketing, or related roles within the semiconductor industry
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate bookings, billings, backlog, inventory, pricing, and opportunity data into clear business insights and recommendations
- Experience developing demand assessments, revenue outlooks, pricing quotations, and gross margin analysis
- Proven ability to create effective executive-level presentations and communicate complex business issues clearly to management
- Track record of success in fast-paced, results-driven business operations, tactical marketing, demand planning, or revenue execution environments
- Ability to prioritize competing business needs, manage multiple workstreams, and collaborate effectively across Product Management, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Marketing
- Prior experience in sales, sales operations, or distribution/channel management is strongly preferred
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with business intelligence tools, CRM systems, ERP systems, or pricing tools is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong follow-through, ownership, and attention to detail
- Comfortable operating independently, driving cross-functional alignment, and escalating issues with fact-based recommendations
