Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking a Layout Engineer to join our Analog Mixed‑Signal (AMS) group. The AMS team develops a diverse portfolio of integrated circuits spanning Interface (serial transceivers, bridges, isolators) and Power Management solutions. Our Power Management portfolio includes PMICs, point‑of‑load (PoL) converters, and power management controllers, designed to simplify system power architectures across a broad range of end markets. Our Interface portfolio includes RS‑485 and RS‑232 transceivers, USB‑to‑UART, USB‑to‑Ethernet, and PCIe‑to‑UART controllers, and Digital and Power Isolators, enabling robust, high‑reliability communication across industrial control, networking, and multi‑market applications.

In this role, you will be performing custom layout design and development of critical analog, mixed-signal, digital blocks, and full chip integration including device placement, routing and verification such as DRC, LVS, EM, ERC, antenna and parasitic extraction. You will work closely with design teams to perform post-layout simulations and optimize layout quality & performance.

Responsible for Design and development of critical analog, mixed-signal, custom digital block, and full chip level integration support
Perform layout verification like LVS/DRC/Antenna, quality check and support documentation
Preferred experience in modules like LDO, Bandgap, Ref Generators, Charge Pump, Current Mirrors, Comparator, Differential Amplifier, PMIC blocks
Good Understanding of CMOS Fundamentals, IC-Fabrication, Circuit-basics
Effectively communicating with Global engineering teams to assure the success of layout project

Qualifications

0–1 year of experience in AMS/RF layout design
Good understanding of CMOS fundamentals, IC fabrication, and circuit basics
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with a major in VLSI/Microelectronics
