About the Role, Accountabilities & Outcomes
This senior role leads a team to design and deliver event marketing solutions that meet business objectives, while fostering a high-performance collaborative culture. You will ensure events effectively represent the company and drive business value through awareness and value perception. Examples of responsibilities include:
Strategy & Execution: Lead the end-to-end execution of hosted and sponsored B2B events across the customer portfolio (Residential, Commercial, New Developments and Enterprise).
Stakeholder & Agency Management: Build productive relationships with internal commercial stakeholders and external agencies, negotiating partnerships and managing external event agency performance.
Creativity: Ability to create high impact, perception changing creative events and experiences, including bringing abstract concepts to life in physical form.
Attendee experience design and detail orientation: Ability to meticulously plan event details and attendee flow to deliver best practice experiences, where the focus can be on the content and the relationships, and all logistics are seamless.
Data & Performance: Constantly review, track, and report on all initiatives to assess ROI and recommend improvements to marketing impact using data-driven insights.
Team leadership: This is a ‘player/coach’ role where you will deliver your own events and coach the team, while also enabling them to continue to work independently
Our Ideal Person
Our ideal candidate is a collaborative and analytical leader who can turn complex data into creative event experiences. A key criteria is the ability to build respected relationships with internal stakeholders - particularly the sales team. Additionally, you will be leading senior events marketers that have established their own internal respect and enjoy a level of independence. You possess excellent judgment, with the ability to assess risk and reward against business priorities to decide which opportunities to pursue. You are a curious and growth-minded professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is dedicated to continuous improvement through feedback and insights.
Essentials
Minimum 10-15 years of event production and marketing experience.
Developing event marketing campaigns from strategy through to execution.
Managing substantial budgets ($1m+ annually) and leading teams.
Working effectively with sales teams and understanding commercial objectives.
Building productive relationships with vendors, media, and industry bodies.
Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Marketing, or an equivalent field.
Preferred
Experience in Real Estate, Tech, Media, Advertising or Software industries.
Strong competence in creative writing for emails and landing pages.
Experience working directly with creative teams and external event agencies.
