- Mentor, hire, and supervise a staff of Systems Administrators/Engineers.
- Collaborate with internal business partners and stakeholders.
- Review and analyze existing operational policies, procedures, and infrastructure for effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for improvement.
- Lead department operational scheduling, planning, and projects.
- Drive a culture of automation and simplicity to optimize infrastructure operations proactively, focusing on how to improve operational performance, efficiency, and availability.
- Address and coordinate production issues outside of working hours as necessary.
- Manage Operational budget, optimizing costs.
- Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership and project management experience supporting critical production infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of SAAS infrastructure networking (L2-L3), TCP/IP, Internet Services (DNS, Load Balancing), and Firewalls.
- Basic understanding of key security concepts and auditing requirements.
- Experience with supporting Microsoft Windows in a production environment.
- Previous experience in a Service Provider or Software Development organization.
- Experience with an on-premise datacenter environment.
- Previous experience with writing policies and procedures.
- Prior experience in technical operations in direct support of application delivery.
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux OS commands/utilities (process, network, file systems, job control, etc).
