Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Sales Support Manager to lead our Sales Support team in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant quotes and proposals. This role is pivotal in driving sales efficiency and velocity by overseeing proposal tools, maintaining CRM accuracy, and serving as the go-to expert for sales tools and processes. You'll play as one team by collaborating closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Legal to streamline deal execution, mitigate risks, and support revenue growth.
In addition to operational excellence, this role includes direct leadership of a team of nine Support Specialists. The ideal candidate will be a strong people leader who will foster team development and raise the bar by driving accountability and building a collaborative, high-performance culture that reflects our commitment to thinking customer first. Additionally, you will lead training for new sales hires on quoting systems, processes, and best practices to ensure rapid and effective onboarding.

As a Sales Support Manager, you will:
Team Leadership
Manage, coach, and develop a team of eight (8) Sales Support Specialists and one (1) Key Account Support Specialist.
Set clear performance goals, conduct regular check-ins, and support career development.
Foster a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
Quoting & Deal Support
Lead the Sales Support team in preparing, reviewing, and managing sales quotes in collaboration with account executives.
Ensure pricing accuracy, policy compliance, and timely quote delivery.
Administer proposal builder software (e.g., Qvidian), ensuring assets are current and aligned with sales velocity goals.
Customer Interaction Support
Assist with customer-facing documentation, follow-ups, and coordination to support deal execution.
CRM & Data Management
Maintain and ensure data accuracy in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
Build reporting capabilities to support sales operations (e.g., quote holds, paperwork follow-ups).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Legal to support deal execution and risk mitigation.
Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Operations to align on hold risks and Cash-in-Advance (CIA) payment workflows.
Training & Enablement
Support onboarding of new sales team members.
Deliver training on quoting tools, processes, and best practices.
What Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Sales Support Manager:
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in sales support, customer success, or revenue operations.
2+ years in a leadership or enablement role, preferably with cross-functional exposure.
Proven experience administering CRM and proposal tools (e.g., Salesforce, Qvidian).
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in B2B sales environments.
Familiarity with quoting systems, CPQ platforms, and sales enablement tools.
Ability to translate operational insights into process improvements.
