We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting our monthly close process, financial reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives — all while working in a collaborative environment that values growth, resilience, and results.


This is a hybrid role, based out of our Global Support Hub in Rosemont, IL. Remote work is available on Mondays and Fridays, with in-office collaboration days Tuesdays through Thursdays.

As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you will:

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate P&L and Balance Sheet records in support of monthly GL close

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and analyze financial data to support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting

  • Manage accounting for third-party financing receivables

  • Act as custodian of fixed asset records and ensure compliance with capitalization policy

  • Assist with standing up payroll accounting processes

  • Manage accounting for 3rd party financing receivables

  • Act as custodian of fixed asset records; ensuring that items are reported and depreciated in compliance with the company's capitalization policy

  • Assist in establishing and documenting processes for payroll accounting

  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency

  • Streamline journal entry processes and close timelines

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide required financial and tax-related documentation

  • Partner cross-functionally to improve processes, controls, and reporting accuracy

  • Contribute to documentation of accounting policies and preparation of financial statement footnotes

What Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Senior Corporate Accountant:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA and/or MBA preferred)

  • 5+ years of accounting experience; public accounting experience a plus

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); Oracle experience preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

  • A track record of identifying and driving process improvements

  • Intellectual curiosity and a positive, collaborative attitude

  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable work with urgency and integrity

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $78,800 - $114,200 annually.The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Rosemont, IL and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength’s annual Manager Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of bonus varies based on company and individual performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
