About the Opportunity:
JOB PURPOSE:
Manage inventory accuracy, coordinate cycle count requests, research inventory errors to identify causes, and initiate corrective action to eliminate future discrepancies. Communicate with Purchasing/Planning and manufacturing departments regarding any inventory issues.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cycle count activities for assigned areas. Research inventory errors to identify issues and initiate corrective action to eliminate the cause. Adjust inventories as allowed through the cycle count procedures.
- Process daily inventory adjustments including shortages, scrap and corrections.
- Issue out CSS transactions weekly.
- Trouble shoot inventory issues through researching BOM’s, routings, receipts, transfers and work order transactions.
- Lead Engineering Change Notice (ECN) implementation meeting and work with all departments on necessary implementation tasks
- Maintain and manage Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and Kanban data and process post implementation.
- Help coordinate and execute physical inventories.
- Prepare explanations for the top 15 write up and write downs from the physical inventory and determine root cause and corrective actions where possible.
- Leverage data analytics to help make strategic and tactical business decisions.
- Prepare Excess and Obsolete file, run meeting to get data on open issues and then finalize report and send to Plant Controller.
- Analyze job close variance to determine if there are BOM errors that need to be corrected.
- Develop a process for dealing with-Replace with Resolve negative on hand inventory by working with the material handlers and providing them with data to address and correct in a timely manner as well as identify the root cause and create a corrective action to minimize future issues.
- Update item setup information including backflush locations and analyze BOM structure.
- Perform yield analysis on raw tubing and custom vinyl and update the BOM’s.
- Assist with updating BOM’s with current planning percentages.
- Provide support to the Production planning group with daily and weekly assigned tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related area
- 1-3 years related experience
- Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems preferred.
- Proficiency on software packages including but not limited to Oracle, Excel, Word and Power Point. Keyboard proficiency required.
- Exposure to Power BI, Sharepoint, or query, data analysis and visualization tools is ideal but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express technical concepts in business terms.
- Strong project management skills, operating as part of a team, or leading a team to accomplish objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work well on cross functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks.
- Ability to professionally and effectively manage urgent situations.
- Ability to quickly and professionally assimilate to changing priorities.
- Education or experience in lean manufacturing processes and protocol preferred.

The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $51,100 - $54,000 annually. This role is categorized as non-exempt and eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Ramsey, Minnesota, and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
