Kerna Labs is building foundation models of RNA biology to discover and develop the next generation of genetic medicines. We're looking for exceptional summer interns to join us on a unique research project with outsized, strategic impact.

What you’ll do:

• Deep dive into disease mechanisms, biological pathways, and unmet need for indications of interest to us
• Explore how mRNA can unlock new therapeutic approaches and build cases for new indications
• Help shape the future of mRNA therapeutics

Who you are:

• Rising senior or recent graduate with foundation in biology, bioengineering, or a related field
• Passionate for disease biology, molecular mechanisms, and platform innovation
• Skilled at deep literature review and synthesis
• Interested in biotech strategy, startups, and therapeutics

Kerna Labs was founded by industry veterans with deep expertise in AI x mRNA, including Amit Deshwar (Head of Platform at Deep Genomics, led the team behind BigRNA) and Melissa J. Moore (Chief Scientific Officer of Moderna for the past decade, led the team behind the Covid-19 vaccine).
