The Manager of Commercial Events and Engagement plays a critical role within the Marketing Operations team, leading the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial meetings and events. This role also drives operational excellence by developing and implementing processes and tools for congress and convention planning. Additionally, the Manager defines and oversees the operational strategy for speaker programs, including implementation, ongoing management, and performance tracking and metrics.
As a key representative of the Marketing Operations team, this role serves as a collaborator and connector across the organization—driving process improvements, sharing best practices, and enabling efficient marketing execution. The Manager of Commercial Events and Engagement must be an exceptional communicator with a problem-solving mindset, as Intellia’s Commercial organization continues to grow and evolve. This highly visible position offers numerous opportunities to engage and build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and leadership, driving alignment and strategic impact across the organization.
The ideal candidate will excel at managing the seamless execution of complex events while fostering strong partnerships with internal teams and external suppliers. They will demonstrate strategic thinking and interpersonal skills, partnering with cross-functional planning teams to ensure meeting logistics and activities align with overall goals and objectives.
Duties/Responsibilities
Event Planning
Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of commercial meetings and events, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
Manage all meeting logistics, including venue sourcing, attendee tracking, food & beverage, accommodations, and event materials.
Oversee cross-functional planning teams, ensuring alignment, accountability and collaboration to drive decisions on agendas.
Develop and maintain a master project schedule for all initiatives, mitigating risks and ensuring on-time delivery.
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Field Training teams to align events with organizational strategies and goals.
Manage external vendors, including production and logistics partners, to ensure high-quality event execution.
Oversee the annual event planning process, including forecasting and budgeting.
Analyze post-event feedback and data to identify trends and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Speaker Programs Operations Strategy
Define and build capabilities needed to scale speaker programs and HCP engagements across the commercial organization.
Develop and operationalize a standardized approach for planning and executing speaker programs and HCP engagements.
Manage logistical implementation of in-person speaker training events.
Track and measure execution and operational metrics.
Act as subject matter expert for cross-functional partners planning an event.
Congress and Symposiums
Coordinate and manage logistics for national, regional, and local congresses, including internal attendee registration and hotel accommodations.
Develop and manage processes to provide field teams with materials for booth setup and branding execution at local congresses.
Establish and train field teams on the process for submitting requests to participate in local congresses.
Track attendee lists, schedules, and congress calendars to ensure accurate planning and execution.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate objectives, align plans, and drive operational excellence.

Requirements
Skills/Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and event management platforms such as CVENT; skilled in creating professional, data-driven reports and presentations.
Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills to manage multiple projects, vendors, and priorities effectively.
Thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments; demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships across teams.
Expert in planning, prioritization, meeting management, and execution of complex event strategies.
Flexible and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to pivot quickly when priorities change.
Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. compliance requirements, including the Sunshine Act, ensuring adherence throughout the event lifecycle.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to articulate complex ideas clearly, influence stakeholders, and inspire confidence at all organizational levels.
Experience supporting pre-launch or launch phase commercial organization strongly preferred.
Proven track record of managing end-to-end event logistics, including national sales meetings, congresses, and speaker programs.
Ability to build, manage, and optimize standard procedures (SOPs), planning frameworks, timelines, and tracking mechanisms.
Experience developing and managing metrics dashboards for event performance, engagement insights, and speaker program utilization.
Ability to manage budgets, track spend, and collaborate with procurement/finance on forecasting and vendor contracts.
Ability to travel – up to 40% (including overnight travel).
Education / Certifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)
Experience
Minimum 7+ of life science industry or relevant
Minimum 3+ years relevant experience managing events and/or HCP engagements
Commercial event planning experience, including coordination of cross-functional partners and management of external vendors

The base salary for this position is expected to range between $128,300.00 - $156,900.00 USD per year.The salary offered is determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant education and training, overall related experience, specialized, rare or in-demand skill sets, internal comparators and other business needs. Upon joining Intellia, your salary will be reviewed periodically and additional factors such as time in role and performance will be considered. Intellia may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Additional compensation includes a performance-based annual cash bonus, a new hire equity grant, and eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards the value of which are determined annually at the Company’s discretion.
