Senior Director, Medical Information Lead

Job Summary

The Senior Director of Medical Information will be part of the Global Medical Affairs Leadership Team at Intellia. In this role, s/he will lead and supervise a core function that provides accurate, unbiased, balanced, and timely responses to unsolicited medical inquiries regarding our products and is accountable for the scientific/medical accuracy of any Medical Information content.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Medical Information function including the Med Info Contact Center ensuring proper training and accurate and compliant medical information dissemination to HCPs and consumers.
  • Lead and cultivate a strong Global Medical Information team
  • Manage medical inquiry insights reporting with consistent visualization of trends/metrics.
  • Oversee the writing and quality of response documents for the contact center and facilitate the review, approval, and maintenance of such documents.Ensure coverage and support at company sponsored medical information booths at congresses
  • Oversee, create, or improve processes and working practices for medical information
  • Support product launch, lifecycle, and pipeline activities
  • Liaises with relevant departments to develop and stay current with product knowledge
  • Gain and sustain expertise with Intellia products, relevant disease states, and competitive products
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all pertinent FDA, EMEA and/or other regulatory, OIG, other governmental agency guidance’s and regulations (e.g., HIPPA, copyright laws etc.)
  • Ensure team is trained and coached on effective reviews of promotional and medical material for balanced scientific accuracy
  • Embrace use of Generative AI applying new or emerging technologies to drive efficiency
  • Analyze, interpret, and summarize medical literature for findings with clinical/strategic relevance
  • Deliver scalable solutions that integrate within the existing technology and processes ecosystem; ability to have a broad perspective and consider implications beyond the explicit requirements
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence multiple stakeholders to ensure a high-level of team involvement in key business decisions while working effectively with business partners
  • Ensure Medical Information responses and processes are compliant with global regulatory requirements as well as industry guidelines and Intellia policies

  • Directs the Medical Information Contact Center vendor

Requirements

  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information and interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and strategic thinking
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs
  • Scientific Understanding: Familiarity with interpreting scientific evidence and knowledge of the patient treatment journey.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and technologically savvy.
  • PharmD, PhD, MD, PA, or NP with significant industry or related medical information experience preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the bio-pharmaceutical environment, with a strong understanding of Medical Affairs. At least 7 years of relevant experience in Medical Information

Ability to sit or stand for multiple hours at a computer

Manual dexterity for keyboarding; may include repetitive movements

The base salary for this position is expected to range between $264,600.00 - $323,500.00 USD per year.

The salary offered is determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant education and training, overall related experience, specialized, rare or in-demand skill sets, internal comparators and other business needs. Upon joining Intellia, your salary will be reviewed periodically and additional factors such as time in role and performance will be considered. Intellia may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.

Additional compensation includes a performance-based annual cash bonus, a new hire equity grant, and eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards the value of which are determined annually at the Company’s discretion.
