Associate Director Digital Marketing, Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)
Job Summary
The Associate Director (AD), Digital Marketing will play a pivotal role in reaching and engaging the hereditary angioedema (HAE) healthcare provider (HCP) and patient community, driving awareness of unmet needs and elevating brand visibility post-approval.
This individual will lead omnichannel planning, execution and measurement as member of the HAE Brand Team and in close partnership with external Agency partners, Intellia IT and Commercial Operations teams. This person will be responsible for leading initiatives across areas such as email marketing, website execution, paid media campaigns (search, display, programmatic, video) and social media. This role requires in-depth experience in digital and non-personal promotional tactics, as well as media strategy for pharmaceutical/biotech marketing campaigns. The position will focus on driving digital communication and engagement with key audiences, including patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
Duties/Responsibilities
Serve as an internal thought leader to deliver high-impact digital marketing programs across channels for healthcare providers (HCPs) and patients/caregivers
Partner closely with the HCP and Patient Marketing Leads to translate branded/unbranded strategic direction and core campaign materials into a comprehensive digital, multi-channel tactical plan
Develop and support omnichannel strategies and tactics that extend across social, web, mobile, online advertising, search (SEO), etc., and seamlessly integrate with offline and field communication touchpoints
Partner with external agencies and vendors to drive digital tactics, including patient and healthcare professional (HCP) websites, digital media, social channels, and email campaigns
Serve as the critical bridge between the HAE Brand Team and our IT partners
Partner with Commercial Operations and IT to establish and maintain the digital marketing technology stack and associated commercial data
Work closely with the Commercial Operations team to develop omnichannel targeting approach and craft measurement plans to evaluate program performance
Collaborate with Corporate Communications on key digital and PR activities
Identify and implement digital enhancements based on data insights and industry best practices
Build and evolve subject matter knowledge regarding digital channels, data privacy, capabilities, and relevant vendors, including the establishment of best practices and standards
Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of activities
Requirements
Proven track record of collaboration and coordination with key internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to influence without formal authority
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to members of cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize workload and maintain high attention to detail
Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful digital and social strategies and programs
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into actionable marketing strategy
Robust knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, data privacy considerations, tools, and techniques for measuring impact
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Travels as needed: 5-10%
Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of relevant progressive experience within digital marketing and at least 3 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience
Experience across both physician and consumer audiences required
Pharmaceutical launch experience a plus
Rare disease experience a plus
Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory constraints in patient, caregiver, and healthcare marketing, including the Medical Legal Regulatory Review Committee (MLR) approval process and privacy considerations
