Customer Success Lead
About the company
HubFlow is a well-capitalized early-stage startup transforming the logistics industry by automating freight appointment scheduling for brokers and carriers. Our agentic AI radically improves efficiency and helps to reduce CO2 emissions in the $1T US trucking industry.
In May 2025, we raised a $2.3M pre-seed round led by Bling Capital, with participation from notable industry angels. We have paying customers, an ambitious roadmap, and a clear path to $1M ARR by the end of 2025.
We are a remote-first company and an equal opportunity employer.
About the role
This role is our first operations hire and comes with the opportunity for meaningful equity ownership and incentive compensation. As our first Customer Success Lead, you will project-manage all HubFlow deployments and collaborate closely with HubFlow’s technical and nontechnical leadership to deploy HubFlow’s software within complex logistics operations. This will give you a front-row seat to both how a startup is built and how enterprise AI is implemented. You will be a key member of our go-to-market and product teams, helping to build the organization that delivers HubFlow scheduling automation to customers.
Key responsibilities
You will drive adoption of HubFlow at some of the largest trucking companies in the country by:
Running weekly and ad hoc check-in calls with customers
Conducting trainings, sharing product launch announcements, and adjusting customers’ HubFlow settings
Reviewing on-call alerts and answering questions from customers – you will own first-level customer support
Triaging and tracking customer feature requests to inform our product roadmap
Building a rock-solid onboarding playbook to accelerate new HubFlow deployments
Becoming one of the top 5 most knowledgeable people in the world on freight appointment scheduling data + processes within 6 months
Qualifications
You should apply for this role if you have:
Outstanding written, public speaking, and presentation skills. You write crystal-clear SOPs and can represent HubFlow to a wide range of customer stakeholders, from executive leadership to individual users.
Deep empathy for our operations users. You are a natural “people person” and can connect with folks in operational roles quickly, learn their world, and build trust at every turn.
Elite executive function. You never drop the ball with follow-ups or leave action items hanging in limbo. People give you “must do” tasks because you’re a busy person and can build systems and processes on the fly.
SQL fluency. You can build your own analytics in a startup environment when data is unreliable and changing.
Scrappiness and grit. You move fast, are unafraid to get your hands dirty, and have some history of doing hard things in life or your career.
Nice to have
Located in Chicago or another major freight hub
Background in freight
Experience with the software development lifecycle + scoping product features
About the team
You should expect ambitious, intense, and interesting coworkers who still like to have fun. You will be joining a team with considerable experience in logistics, product, and applied AI:
Scott has been head of engineering at a startup, taking it from $0 → $3M in revenue and hiring a team of 10 engineers. He also got an AI/ML-focused PhD in 3.5 years and holds multiple patents and peer-reviewed publications related to AI modeling.
Nick started his logistics career 12 years ago moving containers to Iraq, and most recently was a Senior Product Manager at Uber Freight, where his team built core brokerage automation products.
