🚀 About the role
We're looking for an experienced engineer to join our new Search Platform Squad. You'll be working on the core infrastructure, tooling, and observability that powers search across the Housecall Pro platform. This involves enhancing current search capabilities throughout the platform, utilizing technologies such as Elasticsearch and OpenSearch, and investigating potential future integrations with LLMs for advanced search features.

Compensation: 6,500 - 8,000 USD per month (B2B)

🚀 What do you need to get this job?

• At least 5 years of professional experience in programming Rails applications;
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering program, or equivalent work experience;
• Prior experience with Ruby and Rails;
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming;
• Have experience working with high-availability systems and are interested in CI/CD best practices;
• Proven experience with Elasticsearch and/or OpenSearch is highly preferred.
• A strong understanding of search infrastructure, indexing, and query optimization would be a huge plus.
• Experience in working with vector databases.
• Familiarity or interest in AI/LLM tools and their application in software development.
• Excellent communication skills - you’ll be working with a dispersed team, so first-class communication is a must;
• Fluency in Polish and English.
