Role Overview:

As the Senior Manager, Accounting Solutions, you play a key role in developing and scaling our bookkeeping products. You are instrumental in supporting a rapidly growing service-division, establishing efficient processes that drive operational excellence, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Your ability to collaborate across teams enables you to align product development with customer needs. Your leadership supports a high-performing team of bookkeeping professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

What you do each day:

  • Develop and optimize processes to ensure efficient, scalable bookkeeping service delivery, including month-end close, reconciliation, and quality control
  • Lead and mentor a team of bookkeepers, fostering a culture of operational excellence
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, making data-driven improvements
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and fintech teams to refine and expand our accounting solutions
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through process improvements and technology integrations
  • Ensure successful product releases by working cross-functionally with stakeholders across departments
  • Advise on strategic roadmaps for bookkeeping services, aligning them with customer needs and market trends
  • Leverage the resources and collective knowledge of your team to support the resolution of complex accounting, ensuring compliance and accuracy

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in operational management, preferably within service division environments that focus on bookkeeping / tax solutions or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience managing teams of 25+ members, including remote teams; demonstrated ability to oversee and scale large service operations
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping services, leveraging this knowledge to support reasonable process refinement and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Proven track record in driving process improvements, operational excellence, and risk mitigation within large-scale service operations.
  • Robust leadership skills with experience in mentoring, developing, and leading high-performing teams in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.
  • Effective collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with teams like Sales and Product Development to align service offerings with customer needs.

What will help you succeed in this role:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other SMB accounting software
  • Experience working with home services professionals, contractors, or similar industry segments
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on operational efficiency and data integrity
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in accounting systems and technology
  • CPA or EA certification is a plus

Location Dependent Information

This role is open to candidates and the expected salary range for this role is $96,000-$120,000. The specific salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible to participate in Housecall Pro’s equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability), employee assistance program, 401(K), flexible time off, paid parental leave, tech reimbursement, and other company benefits.
