No one candidate will be a 100% perfect match to our description, so if you thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually-charged environment and have similar experience to what we are looking for, we encourage you to apply.

This role is hybrid to our New York office, requiring 3 in-office days per week.

Mission

We are looking for a Research Operations Coordinator to play a central role in shaping how Research operates at HoneyBook. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to own and evolve our research repository, help develop new programs, and refine the processes that amplify the impact of Research across HoneyBook.

Your work will be integral to bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to the broader User Research team’s work. Success in this role will be dependent upon your ability to communicate clearly, demonstrate an exceptional attention to detail, and apply thoughtful problem-solving to manage multiple moving parts while keeping the bigger picture in mind. Your work will directly contribute to more proactive research, reliable outcomes, and well-run research experiences for both participants and internal teams, across remote and in-person studies.

You’ll be joining a close-knit, supportive, and deeply customer-centric research team that values curiosity, craft, and operational excellence. We encourage growth, learning, and ownership, and support one another in developing our skills and impact every day.

Here are a few of the things you will do:

  • Support operational aspects of the end-to-end research process across remote and in-person studies. This includes planning and coordinating in-person research and events, scheduling sessions, communicating with participants, conducting screener calls, managing recruitment pipelines, updating participant records, and overseeing incentives.
  • Standardize and maintain UX research methods and supporting documentation, including the research repository, playbooks, templates, training materials, and commonly used resources.
  • Be a key stakeholder in the continued growth of our internal research repository by defining and maintaining how insights and research summaries are documented, shared, and consumed across the organization.
  • Collaborate with UX Research and Design leadership to identify operational needs, including process improvements, tools, and templates, and support the planning and execution of initiatives that strengthen the research practice.
  • Partner with the research managers to drive visibility of research projects and insights through channels such as newsletters, internal communications, and repository updates.
  • Stay current on research operations trends, best practices, and tooling, and manage the research operations budget, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting.

Here is what we’re looking for in a candidate:

Strong operator:

  • You’ve supported research or similar teams in an operational, coordination, or hands-on project management capacity in the past. Think: recruiting participants, coordinating event logistics, and ensuring high-quality experiences
  • You’re comfortable managing research tools and platforms, including vendor relationships and accounts
  • You bring the deep organizational skills and high attention to detail necessary to keep track of all of the moving parts
  • Strong sense of ownership and foresight:
    • You proactively look for ways to improve systems, processes, and tools, and enjoy taking on new challenges. Where others see problems, you see opportunity.
    • You’re customer-centric and driven by efficiency, and high-quality outcomes
    • You balance an eye for detail with a mind on the bigger picture. You understand how the smaller pieces feed into the whole and use that knowledge to influence outcomes

Proven collaboration skills:

    • You bring the strong interpersonal skills necessary to build productive relationships with internal cross-functional partners (e.g., Product, Design, Data, Marketing, Customer Support)
    • You bring experience working with external partners and negotiating with them to arrive at mutually beneficial outcomes
    • You possess the strong communication skills necessary to deliver messages and ensure alignment across audiences and altitudes, both verbally and in writing

AI adopter:

    • You’re experienced with the use of AI tools in a professional or personal context to support research, operations, documentation, synthesis, or productivity
    • You have a working knowledge of AI concepts and capabilities (e.g., strengths, limitations, responsible use), with curiosity to explore how AI can improve research operations

Flexibility & adaptability:

  • You can work across time zones and open to occasional travel
  • You thrive in fast-moving, evolving environments

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience in a Research Operations role working directly with a User Experience Research team
  • Experience with online research and design tools (e.g., EnjoyHQ, Ballpark , Great Questions, Looker, User Interviews, Qualtrics)
  • Experience with portfolio and project management tools (e.g., Notion, JIRA, Airtable, Trello)
  • Experience working with distributed and international teams and processes.
  • Experience working with product design operations.
  • Familiarity with research methods, timelines, and terminology
  • Experience planning or facilitating live research sessions or events
  • Experience implementing scalable workflows

The good stuff:

  • Mission driven. You'll be joining more than just another startup—our members are at the heart of everything we do; in fact, we invite them to co-work in our office and collaborate with us on the product itself
  • Impact. We move quickly and encourage every employee to push the envelope. Our best ideas come from out-of-the-box-thinking and innovation; be ready to fail fast and often!
  • Compensation: We offer a competitive salary + meaningful equity based on merit
    • Base Pay: $84k - $105k
  • Benefits + Perks: From wellness programs to unlimited paid time off and exceptional family leave policies, the health and happiness of our employees is foremost
