What is special about this role?
The Helix Clinico-genomic Data Team plays a pivotal role in Helix’s efforts to provide a first-in-class clinico-genomics research dataset for our partners to conduct and publish cutting-edge genomic studies. We are responsible for building and making these data available for use by both our internal Research and Analytical Teams as well as external Health System Researchers and Life Sciences customers.
Our clinico-genomic dataset includes clinical and Exome+ sequencing data and is curated to facilitate the discovery of novel genomic disease risks, enhance patient recruitment for clinical studies, support clinical decision-making, and optimize care pathways. As a Partner Research Success Manager you will play a crucial role in enabling our stakeholders to engage with these data and the associated toolings. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and effective utilization of the data, tools, and platforms created by the team.
As a Partner Research Success Manager, you will:
Work closely with our stakeholders, ensuring they have the necessary information needed to work with our datasets. You will be their primary contact for data support, ranging from hosting kick off calls to facilitating office hours. A primary function will be to coordinate with internal teams to get the required information to the client.
  • Support Partners and Customers in engaging with our clinico-genomic datasets, tools, and platform
  • Prepare and maintain materials for the data user onboarding experience, including user guides and orientation presentations
  • Gather and incorporate client feedback to iteratively refine the data solution design
  • Design and build data processing pipelines for producing both clinical and genomic datasets
  • Develop strong internal relationships while working cross-functionally with our Engineering, Research, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Product, and Commercial teams
About you:
  • Masters in Public Health, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a partner facing role such as sales engineering, or a related technical applications role.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and large language models (LLMs), including agentic workflows and coding assistants such as Claude Code
  • Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operation teams to ensure research users are successful in their work
  • Affinity for an engineering culture that emphasizes both quality and agility
  • Knowledge of the benefits and challenges of cloud-based data management and analysis, including hands-on experience with cloud computing
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities may change quickly and frequently
Pluses:
  • Experience working with large-scale genomic datasets and familiarity with statistical genetic techniques and analysis tools.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing science position and/or in a scientific applications role, working directly with partners in healthcare and/or in the life sciences industry.
  • Experience performing data analysis, preferably data mining, pattern recognition, statistical, and/or mathematical programming and modeling to health-related data
  • Experience with cloud-based computational platforms such as DNANexus, Verily Workbench, Terra, Databricks, etc.
  • Previous experience with EHR or Claims data and/or clinical data models (eg. OMOP CDM)

Expected Pay For This Role:
There are 3 distinct parts to your Helix offer: 1) Base Salary 2) Annual Bonus 3) Equity
  • Expected Helix Base: $106,000 - $148,000
  • Expected Helix Discretionary Annual Bonus: 10% of your annual salary
  • Equity: We offer generous equity at Helix. If you receive a Helix offer your recruiter will book dedicated time with you to educate you on our equity model.

What To Expect During Your First 90 days:

  • Day 30 - 60: you’ll spend time contributing to projects, deeply familiarizing yourself with team and company processes, and developing a deeper understanding of Helix’s products, services and capabilities.
  • Day 60 - 90: you’ll build your OKRs with your manager, start to take ownership of projects and initiatives on your team, and begin to demonstrate your impact on the Helix mission.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $106,000 – $148,000 per year.
