Your Impact in this Role
This team builds the software platform and user experiences for our providers and health system partners. Working closely with Design, Product Management, and other cross-functional teams, you will build the critical software and infrastructure necessary to deliver an industry-leading, seamless experience on the Helix platform.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable full-stack solutions, with a focus on both frontend and backend development.
- Be hands-on with code to build and deploy for reliability and scale across users and health systems.
- Mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the reliability and health of our production services by participating in an on-call rotation.
About you:
- 5+ years of software development experience in JavaScript and one or more of the following: Go, Python, Java, or a similar language.
- A proven track record of shipping products built on modern libraries and frameworks, with a strong emphasis on responsive web design and experience with React.
- Expertise in building and maintaining backend services and APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK).
- A strong affinity for an engineering culture that emphasizes agile methodologies, DevOps, and continuous delivery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Pluses:
- Experience with regulated software systems and entities (e.g., HIPAA).
- BS+ in Computer Science; coursework in genetics or bioinformatics.

- Monthly Salary Range : $95,667 MXN - $126,354 MXN
- Bonus: 5%

- Allowances & Stipends:
- Home Office Stipend: we will reimburse up to $500 USD for essential workspace items, so you are fully equipped to perform your best.
- Phone Allowance: 700 MXN monthly.
- In-Office Perks: 80 MXN daily for transport and 250 MXN daily for snacks on office days.
- Plus all bonuses and allowances as required under Mexican labor law

- Hybrid & Remote Flexibility:
- Hybrid: Our office is located at WeWork - Varsovia, Mexico City. We gather intentionally in our office space once per week to work on things like pair programming/live collaboration, skillshare sessions, social segments, team lunches, and volunteering opportunities. Juárez, Cuauhtémoc, CDMX.
- Remote (for team members living 80 km or more outside Mexico City): We'll invite you to our CDMX office 3-6 times a year for key training and team meetings. These visits are a great chance to connect in person and strengthen our Helix community. Helix covers the cost of travel and accommodations.

What To Expect During Your Onboarding Week:
We want to make sure your first week is spent learning the foundations. You will be invited to live orientation sessions and spend time with your hiring manager developing your individual roadmap to success. This experience will include sessions that cover your benefits, security & privacy training, an introduction to the OKR framework used at Helix and our communication tools and norms.
What To Expect During Your First 90 days:
First 30 days: you’ll spend time learning the Helix way, completing training and onboarding for your roles, and getting introduced to your team and relevant stakeholders. You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of our customers, our products, the impact we make in the lives of our communities, and how to thrive at Helix through participation in Helix U.
Day 30 - 60: you’ll spend time contributing to projects, deeply familiarizing yourself with team and company processes, and developing a deeper understanding of Helix’s products, services and capabilities.
Day 60 - 90: you’ll build your OKRs with your manager, start to take ownership of projects and initiatives on your team, and begin to demonstrate your impact on the Helix mission.
