Technical Recruiter
Harbor Health
POSITION OVERVIEW
Harbor Health is looking for a driven and resourceful Technical Recruiter to join our growing team. In this role, you will own the full recruiting lifecycle for engineering and product positions across all levels — from individual contributors to senior leadership — covering disciplines that span software engineering, data, infrastructure, product management, product design, and beyond. You will bring a deep, established network of engineering and product professionals that you actively cultivate and leverage to fill roles quickly and with quality. You will also lean into AI-powered sourcing tools and modern recruiting technology to build efficient, high-performing pipelines. As a true team player in a startup environment, you will step in to support recruiting across other functions as needed and will own all the administrative work that keeps our hiring engine running smoothly.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering and product roles across all levels and disciplines, including software engineers (front-end, back-end, full-stack, data, infrastructure, platform), product managers, product designers, and technical leads — with the majority of volume in software engineering.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop clear job requirements, calibrate on leveling, understand team culture, and align on sourcing and evaluation strategies.
- Actively leverage and grow a robust personal network of engineering and product professionals to generate warm pipelines, referrals, and passive candidate interest.
- Use LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, and other AI-powered sourcing tools to identify, engage, and advance candidates efficiently and at scale.
- Champion the use of AI and emerging recruiting technology across the full hiring lifecycle — from candidate discovery and outreach personalization to interview scheduling and pipeline reporting — to maximize quality and speed.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial phone and video interviews to assess technical aptitude, culture fit, and alignment with role requirements across varying seniority levels.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, gather structured feedback from interviewers, and guide candidates through each stage of the process.
- Manage the candidate experience with timely, transparent communication that reflects Harbor Health’s values and brand.
- Extend and negotiate offers, partnering with HR on compensation strategy and ensuring competitive and equitable outcomes.
- Manage all recruiting administration including UKG ATS records, job postings, requisition tracking, and pipeline reporting.
- Track recruiting metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders on pipeline health, time-to-fill, and sourcing effectiveness.
- Support recruiting across non-technical functions (operations, clinical, administrative) as organizational needs evolve.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to create a more efficient, equitable, and candidate-friendly hiring experience.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a demonstrated track record of sourcing and closing talent across engineering and product disciplines at multiple levels.
- Proven ability to recruit across a broad range of engineering roles (software engineering, data engineering, infrastructure, platform) and product roles (product management, product design, technical program management) — not limited to a single discipline or level.
- An established, active network of engineering and product professionals that can be immediately leveraged to generate pipelines and referrals.
- Proficiency with UKG or comparable enterprise ATS platforms, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered sourcing tools such as Juicebox, and a willingness to actively explore and adopt new recruiting technology.
- A proactive, tech-forward mindset — you seek out AI tools, automation, and data-driven approaches to make the recruiting process smarter and faster.
- Strong ability to assess candidates across varying levels of seniority and technical depth, and to calibrate with hiring managers on leveling decisions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with hiring managers, candidates, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced, resource-conscious startup environment.
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
- Commitment to an equitable and inclusive hiring process.
- Familiarity with healthcare, health plans, or health-tech is a plus but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
