Description
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated Data Operations Associate to join our growing Operations team. Reporting directly to the Director of Subaccounting, you’ll ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across our systems by recording notices correctly, tracking down missing information from clients and industry counterparties, and supporting the daily flow of data that underpins Hamsa’s Unified Ledger.
This is a high-exposure role ideal for someone who wants to learn the inner workings of financial data operations in a fast-moving fintech. You’ll receive direction and training while working closely with senior team members, gaining firsthand experience with institutional processes and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Accurately record and validate incoming Fund Information data notices, updates, and transactions in Hamsa’s systems both manually and using AI tooling.
- Proactively chase and resolve missing or incomplete data from clients, transfer agents, custodians, and other industry parties.
- Support daily data reconciliations and quality checks to maintain system integrity.
- Escalate data discrepancies or systemic issues promptly to the Director of Subaccounting.
- Maintain organized records and logs of data notices, exceptions, and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with other Operations functions (Trading, Reconciliation, Reporting) to ensure seamless data flow and support other operational needs.
- Contribute to process documentation, advanced automation workflows, SOPs, and checklists to improve efficiency and reduce error rates.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and periodic on-site work in Dallas to coordinate with colleagues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in data operations, fund administration, transfer agency, reconciliation, or other financial services operations roles (internships welcome).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills to track multiple items simultaneously.
- Ability to learn quickly, take direction, and work effectively within a small team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional demeanor when interacting with clients and industry partners.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and an eagerness to develop additional technical skills (SQL, dashboards, reconciliations) a plus.

- The expected salary for this position is between $45,000.00 and $50,000, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
