Overview
GitHub is looking for a Marketing Operations Associate to join our Global Marketing Operations team. You’ll be focused on supporting the execution of world class marketing campaigns by triaging requests that come in and working closely with Microsoft’s Campaign Operation teams daily to get your work done. Your primary role will be building Marketo Programs and Emails in Microsoft’s bespoke Marketo instance, monitoring our lead management system, and helping to surface gaps and areas of opportunity in our marketing tech stack.
Responsibilities
Marketing Technology Planning and Execution
Work across the Marketing Operations team on all aspects of program/campaign operations from audience targeting, list uploads, email creation, program execution, and program measurement.
Serve as a Marketing Operations project lead for cross functional campaign initiatives that ensure the projects are demonstrating best in class Marketing Operations practices.
Actively identify and remove obstacles preventing our Marketing teams from realizing their campaign execution in Marketo and Microsoft’s Lead Management System.
Architecting and administering Eloqua & SendGrid architecture to sustain our custom lead flow processes to support other Marketing Ops team members.
Relationship Management
Manage and influence stakeholder expectations by providing robust communication plans, driving action, and align deliverables for campaign execution that sits in Marketing and Revenue Pods that pertain to; email orchestration, analytics insights, new nurture and architecture initiatives.
Escalate stakeholder issues to other Marketing Operation team members and provide solutions to obstacles that you encounter in the campaign process.
Continuous Improvement
Audit and monitor GitHub’s entire lead flow process to ensure that we remove gaps and find areas of improvement in our lead flow to maximize conversion rates and drive pipeline growth.
Document, maintain, and evangelize Marketing Operation frameworks and processes to drive consistency across multiple partners.
Audit and monitor GitHub’s marketing technologies and database utilization to ensure that we’re maximizing our marketable database and technologies.
Monitor and debug our marketing data logs, flows, and pipelines to understand where data and process can be improve.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in sales operations, marketing operations, or a related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in sales operations, marketing operations, or a related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience with technology process improvement.
- 1+ year(s) marketing operations experience with a Global B2B software company.
- 1+ year(s) experience with marketing B2B reporting (e.g., Salesforce, Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
- 1+ year(s) experience with CRM technologies (e.g., Salesforce).
- 2+ years of experience with Eloqua or Marketo.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
4+ Years of Marketing Technology integration experience via APIs, Native Integration, Webhooks.
3+ Years of Content Management System (CMS) experience with platforms such as WordPress, Contentful, Squarespace etc.
3+ Years of HTML/CSS/JS Experience.
3+ Years of experience with SQL or Python.
Good understanding of B2B email/nurture marketing best practices, deliverability/governance, data quality management and marketing attribution models.
Demonstrated experience in converting business requirements into technical specifications for execution.
Compensation Range
The base salary range for this job is USD $68,200.00 - USD $181,000.00 /Yr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
