The Partner Product Marketing Manager (PMM)is responsible for developing and executing content strategies that empower our channel (reseller and distributor)and alliance partners to effectively market, sell, and implement our innovative networking technology solutions.
This role requires a strong understanding of B2B technology marketing, excellent content creation and communication skills, and a passion for fostering successful partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
· Content Strategy & Creation:
o Develop and implement a comprehensive partner content strategy aligned with company marketing and sales objectives.
o Collaborate across product marketing, partner marketing, product management, sales, and SE teams to gather necessary information and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling differentiated messaging for partners and their customers.
o Create a variety of high-impact content assets including partner (reseller, distribution) oriented case studies highlighting successful customer implementations of networking solutions, solution briefs, whitepapers, presentations, partner sales playbooks, competitive analysis summaries, email templates, social media posts, and website copy.
o Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, messaging consistency, and legal requirements.
· Partner Enablement:
o Equip partners with readily accessible and relevant marketing and sales tools and collateral through our partner portal or other channels.
o Develop and deliver partner training materials (e.g., webinars, product demos) to enhance their understanding of our solutions and competitive differentiation.
o Offer personalized guidance and support to targeted partners on their go-to-market strategies and marketing initiatives.
o Support partners in maximizing the impactful utilization of Market Development Funds (MDF) to execute joint marketing activities.
· Relationship Building & Collaboration:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
o Serve as a product marketing bridge between Extreme and its partners, facilitating effective communication and information exchange.
o Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product, engineering, marketing) to ensure alignment, advocacy, and support for partner programs.
o Actively engage with partners through regular meetings, calls, and events to foster a collaborative environment.
· Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
o Track and analyze the performance of partner marketing programs and campaigns, identifying key metrics and reporting on ROI.
o Leverage data and feedback to identify trends, pinpoint areas for improvement, and optimize content and strategies for maximum impact.
o Monitor partner engagement with content and resources, identifying opportunities for further enablement and support.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field / equivalent experience.
· Proven experience (5-7+ years, adjusted based on level) in partner marketing, channel marketing, or content marketing within the networking technology sector.
· Deep understanding of the networking technology industry, including products, services, market trends, and competition.
· Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into accessible and engaging content.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, measure campaign performance, and identify trends.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and internal teams.
· Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo) and partner portals.
· Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
