Job Summary:
As part of the Extreme Networks Software Quality Assurance team, this talented and highly motivated Senior QA Engineer will contribute to delivering cutting-edge Cloud Engineering solutions for networking products. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality of both on-premises and cloud-based networking solutions, with a strong emphasis on automation testing throughout the entire test cycle.

  • Create test strategies and test plans to validate features, as well as support efforts in automation testing.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team on analyzing requirements and implement the use cases into the automated test framework.
  • Monitor, execute, and publish test results using the framework.
  • Quality delivery of assigned tasks, according to the processes specified for product test and solution test.
  • Document test results, filing defect reports and change requests.
  • Collaborating with product development and test teams to investigate and resolve problem reports.
  • Review product documentation and functional specifications.

Qualifications (Who you are...)

  • 5+ years of industry experience in networking technologies, Dockerization and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud and cloud technologies
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies and concepts, OSI Model, TCP/IP, LAN switching, IP routing and Ethernet networks
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience of test tools, CI/CD and automation frameworks. Python or Go programming experience is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of Operating system concepts (Unix/Linux and Windows) and network applications
  • Solid experience with REST API testing and automation
  • Exposure to AI-based testing approaches is desirable
  • Familiarity with the following tools, frameworks, and languages - Robot Framework, Selenium, Jenkins, GIT, Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiar with Agile development and testing processes
