Job Summary: this is an exciting role in a growing company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience in product development, manufacturing, electronics, and mechanical assembly. The role is critical to success of Epirus hardware and will be responsible for RF circuit board testing. This position will also be flexible and support electro-mechanical assembly and harness building as required.
Responsibilities:
- Understands, plans, and executes testing and troubleshooting activities to produce a prototype, MIL-STD understanding desired
- Assembles LRU and element array with direction from Engineers
- Utilizes standard laboratory test equipment including: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, voltmeters, and other measurement equipment to perform engineering support functions
- Troubleshoots equipment using standard documentation packages including assembly drawings and schematics
- Works with various levels of the system (from the board and component level to the LRU, to the system level) to identify and resolve performance problems
- Mentors less experienced peers and provides feedback on assembly work
- Capable of completing assembly and harness building work in addition to test tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with electro-mechanical assembly
- Minimum of 2 years RF test experience
- Testing and troubleshooting skills with the capability of defining and configuring standard and special test equipment to perform tests at the circuit card, LRU or system level
- Ability to work with standard laboratory test equipment
- Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety elements, especially related to RF testing
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer skills to use MES system, JIRA, etc.
- Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
- US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Associates Degree in technical field or equivalent trade school or military training.
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Soldering certification and experience soldering cables and harnesses (circuit boards come pre-assembled)
- Aerospace/Defense experience and/or military experience
- Knowledge of Production Systems and Lean Manufacturing elements
- Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality management systems elements
