Cruise is looking for a Manager of Corporate Communications to help us tell our story to a variety of audiences, working closely with different teams within the company including teams focused on incident response, sustainability, safety, and personnel issues.
What you’ll be doing:
Work with teams from operations, legal, people, policy and other areas to understand the business and identify proactive storytelling opportunities
Collaborate in ongoing work to be transparent about all we are doing to keep Cruisers, customers, and people we interact with outside of our vehicles safe
Issues management and crisis preparedness
Develop and maintain strong and respectful relationships with key members of the media for proactive and reactive communications
What you must have:
5+ years in communications
Experience developing external-facing narratives across complex issues
Experience finding creative and proactive storytelling opportunities
Experience dealing directly with members of the media
Flexibility to quickly shift focus to adapt to team needs and/or business priorities
Excellent writing skills
Bonus points:
Experience in the tech industry
Existing relationships with reporters interested in the autonomous vehicle space
Passion for the future of mobility
The salary range for this position is $109,800 - $161,500. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
