What You'll Do
In this position you will be responsible for the Americas Architectures Sales Strategy, Cross-Architecture program/project management and Executive Communications supporting the Americas Architectures Senior Sales & Engineering Leadership team.
In this role you will report directly to the Americas Architectures, Engineering & GTM S&P Director. Your focus will be crafting and amplifying messaging in alignment with the Americas Communication leader, WW Architecture teams, and Americas Architecture teams. You will drive effective pipeline generating initiatives into Americas and be able to demonstrate their efficiency or target areas of improvement. These programs will require coordination across teams and those outputs will include sales plays, internal and coordination of external communications, metrics, dashboards, and field and partner awareness. In some cases, you will be responsible for crafting these outputs and in many cases, you will coordinate with centralized Americas teams, as well as WW and BE teams to use their resources.
Your ability to balance the run the business as well as ensure the success of strategic programs within the Architecture business will be key. You will work closely across the Americas Architecture Leaders, S&P, Operations, WW S&P, Partner S&P, and BE Ops. I
In addition, you will:
- Build structure and consistency around the strategy and priorities of the Americas Architectures execution and communications
- Build a scalable process to develop, drive, and measure the impact of identified key business acceleration initiatives
- Project management for all x-architecture and architecture campaigns and initiatives including rigor to development of metrics
- Crafting and influencing insights strategy by leading the gathering of business requirements for dashboard development, crafting mockups, and provide sales insight to leaders
- You will ensure alignment across the WW and Americas Architecture and BE teams motivating cross matrixed teams to complete cross-arch initiatives and Americas GTM campaigns and field enablement
- Responsible for the VPs executive engagements, comms, and tying together the organizations strategic vision into a cohesive communications plan and building culture and rituals within the team.
- You will work directly with the Americas communications team as well to align to messaging, priorities, and translate over to Architecture messaging.
Who You'll Work With
You will work directly with the Americas Architectures Sales & Engineering Leaders, America’s Strategy, Planning, and Operations team as well as the Americas Communications team. You will create simplified and effective communications strategy and streams to effectively complete the Americas critical initiatives.
Who You Are
- You have cross-functional project management skills and ensure proper level of follow-through and measurement. A strong task orientation.
- You have worked in cross matrixed environments with track record of success in program management of initiatives, SPIFFs, and seller enablement
- Understands a seller mentality and providing the tools needed to complete across rotating priorities
- You have a deep knowledge set of developing insights and working across business intelligence teams.
- Ability to create and deliver both a communications framework and ongoing communications for executive (customer, partners, and internal Cisco facing)
- You can tie strategy of an organization to the “voice of the executive” through successful writing and tapping into multiple communication channels.
- Heavily focused on creating strong culture via comms and creating structure and organization.
Our minimum requirements for this role:
- 5+ years related experience
- Track-record of creating successful scripting presentations for Senior Leaders, with GSX experience an added benefit
- Experience in creating, amplifying and driving sales campaigns
- Program and Project management experience with cross functional teams driving to a common goal (WW and GEO based preferred)
- Experience in successfully supporting Executive Communications
- Experience advising senior leadership to drive outcomes and influence action
Preferred:
- Ability to work cross-functionally in order to develop and deliver critical initiatives
- Deep understanding of our networking platforms to support AI
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to scale and implement in a fast-paced environment across cross-architecture and x-segment organizations
- Exceptional communication skills and experience simplifying the complex into clear and concise messaging
- Typically requires BS/BA or equivalent experience
- Excellent “team first” mentality with the ability to bring others along for a common goal

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
