What You’ll Do

Our team is seeking a dynamic Account Executive for our growing Data Center Networking (DCN) business to join our strong and strategic sales team. As an Account Executive, you will drive the adoption of Cisco’s DCN solutions across Service Provider industry in EMEA. You will identify potential clients, understand their specific needs, and provide tailored DCN solutions that align to their business operations. This role requires a deep understanding of DCN technologies and a proven track record to translate technical concepts to senior stakeholder.

Who You’ll Work With

The Cloud + AI Infrastructure team delivers one scalable strategy with local execution for data center customer transformation and growth. We are the worldwide go-to-market compute and data center networking engine assembling market transitions and engaging with customers and support sellers to fuel growth for customers and Cisco. You will also be expected to build relationship with our product business to support most challenging sales engagements & provide field insights and market direction. Alongside our colleagues, Cloud & AI Infrastructure builds the sales strategy, activates sellers and technical communities, and accelerates selling every single day.

Who You Are

You will develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve sales targets for DCN products and services and identify and prioritize target accounts and develop relationships with key decision-makers and partners. Engaging with clients to understand their business challenges and conducting detailed analysis to find opportunities for DCN solutions are two dynamic skills you will bring to this role. You understand DCN technical concepts and translate them into business value for clients.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of technology-related sales experience in data center fabric, server, virtualization, application or software sales space in the Services Provider environment.
  • Proven track record to build and maintain relationships at the C-suite and line-of-business levels.
  • Experience in complex long term sales lifecycles and working in a matrixed environment to meet customer expectations.
  • You have a consultative solutions/business-value problem solving approach to engagements with technical as well as business decision makers.
  • You are ready to travel as required by the role within EMEA region.

Preferred Qualifications

  • You are passionate about the Cisco Data Center Networking technology solution stack and Public/Private/Hybrid cloud scenarios.
  • You have the ability to work across multiple dimensions of building a Team, Business, Practice
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, listening and presentation skills; ability to plan, pitch, and execute a start to finish business strategy leading to metrics.
  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA and, or relevant AI certification.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
