This technology will revolutionize High-Performance (HPC) and Cloud computing, as well as other industries where low power interconnects are critical like camera sensors, autonomous vehicles, and aerospace. About the role:

Assemble micro optical devices using Opto-Mechanical setups:

  • Set up and maintain optical alignment stations
  • Perform measurements on micro-optical devices using micro-manipulation stages
  • Assemble small optical components such as micro-lenses using epoxy
  • Collect data from arrays of optical components and subsystems including LEDs, photodetectors
  • Collect data using various optical and electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, optical power meters, power supplies. Specialized optical measurement tools.
  • Process data according to instructions. Document Procedures, results and perform calibrations
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical problems.

Requirements:

  • Technical school or Associate’s Degree in related field. Optical, Engineering, Physics
  • Computer literacy (Processing data and analysis)
  • Experience as an Optical Assembly Technician or related role
  • Experience with optical fibers and alignment.
  • Knowledge of precision epoxy assembly techniques
  • Very good hand-eye coordination
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal/communication skills within the company and with partners, customers, and consultants.
