As a Technical Program Manager for Brazil Technology Partner Services, you will be the primary functional and technical liaison for Avalara's technology partners. This liaison role spans their entire lifecycle, from prospecting and discovery to integration, certification, and post-launch optimization.
In this partner-facing and role, you will combine technical expertise, consultative engagement, solution architecture review, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will support Avalara's Brazil Partner Management and Business Development teams while collaborating with Product, Engineering, Tax Content, Sales Engineering, Marketing, and the North American Partner Launch teams.
You will expect to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value. You will guide partners through high-quality and compliant integrations. You will advocate for partner needs internally. You will contribute to Avalara's certification programs and integration standards, which will evolve ongoingly.
You will report directly to the Manager, Corporate Development in Brazil.

Partner Engagement & Technical Leadership
- Be a primary functional and technical contact for Avalara technology partners in Brazil.
- Deliver functional and technical product demonstrations during prospecting and partner acquisition phases, expressing Avalara's value proposition.
- Contribute to consultative and strategic discussions with partners, providing technical argumentation and strengthening solution value.
- Assess integration level of effort and guide partners through design, architecture, and implementation decisions.
- Provide best-practice consultation to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-quality integrations.
- Deliver presentations and workshops at partner events and enablement sessions.
Integration, Certification & Troubleshooting
- Guide partners through the full integration lifecycle, from design to certification.
- Conduct architecture and design reviews to validate technical approaches.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for integration issues.
- Conduct technical analyses to diagnose issues and recommend scalable solutions.
- Open and manage tickets with our teams to ensure resolution and visibility.
- Conduct validation and solution testing of partner-built integrations.
- Verify completion and accuracy of all certification artifacts, including installation guides, user guides and functionality checklists.
- Ensure integrations meet Avalara's certification and badging requirements.
Program Optimization & Documentation
- Author, curate, improve, and improve technical documentation to accelerate partner integrations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance and adjust partner programs for improved effectiveness and partner experience.
- Create integration strategies, including using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve workflows and efficiencies.
- Collaborate across teams to identify documentation and integration enablement gaps.
- Improve certification processes and integration frameworks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Advocacy
- Be the Voice of the Partner to Product Management, Engineering, Tax Content, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Escalate technical issues and collaborate with internal stakeholders to lead resolution.
- Influence product enhancements based on partner feedback and integration insights.
- Support Avalara Brazil's Business Development, Partner Management, Sales Engineering, and Marketing teams as an integration subject matter expert (SME).
- Coordinate with Avalara's North American Partner Launch team to ensure understanding and consistency.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, partner enablement, integration consulting, or related roles.
- Experience working with APIs and integration technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and performing structured technical analysis.
- Experience delivering technical demos and engaging in consultative, partner-facing discussions.
- Translate technical capabilities into value.
- Technical documentation and developer-facing writing skills.
- Experience working with Product and Engineering teams.
- Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect in Brazilian Portuguese and English (Spanish is a plus).
- Experience using AI to improve workflow and performance efficiency.
- Experience with:ERP and accounting systems
- eCommerce platforms
- Subscription/Recurring Billing systems
- Order Management Systems (OMS)
- Knowledge of indirect tax and transactional tax systems.
- Familiarity with programming languages and technologies such as:JSON / REST
- .NET
- Salesforce / APEX ()
Preferred Qualifications
- Indirect tax or tax compliance software experience.
- Knowledge of tax reporting processes.
- Spanish language proficiency.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM.
